Bynum's footwork, post game, strength, and patience were all ascending up to new peak levels right here. Every year from '07 to this season here in 2010 you would see him just get better and better with each month from Oct to Feb, being on the verge of breaking out as the best undisputed center in the league before getting literally kneecapped by wreckless drives into the paint crashing into him. It took a big toll on him mentally, and his love for the game faded as quickly as his remaining knee cartilage did. One of the great Laker tragedies for anyone who was truly watching in those years, and a much bigger what-if than even the Dwight Howard fiasco in '12/'13.

My parents got me tickets to this game for my birthday when I was a freshman in college in Boston, went with one of my good friends from home who was also a Laker fan, one of the best moments I've ever seen in person. The Laker portion of the arena went NUTS when Kobe won the game, unbelievable moment to see in person. Mamba Forever.

I remember that season when Kobe had 6 game winner a season. and you know what those haters said? They said if he was that good, he wouldnt need a game winner to win. And what happened? They won the champ LOL but they still discredit him for game 7 low fg % These haters have always been lame

That’s how it is for most top 10 players tbh. Besides Timmy D and maybe 1 or 2 others, all those guys’ accomplishments are dissected and downplayed. Either by people who hate that player for whatever reason, or the ones who think their favorite player is better. Bron, Kobe, Steph, etc get lots of respect but not as much as they deserve because people are always busy downplaying and belittling them

@@judahmourneth3211 Doesn't matter lol Lakers were the 1 seed that year winning 57 games and the 8th seed had 50. He had 7 game winners so if he hits none they are battling to get the 8th seed. If he hits about half it's still not enough to get the Lakers to the 1 seed.

Kobe hit 7 game winners in the 2009-2010 season. Five of them were when the Lakers were down in the score. If he didn’t make all 7 of them, lakers might have finished 8th in the west instead of 1st in the NBA. And they wouldn’t have had home court advantage against the Celtics.
