Nope. In reality wasn't even a debate. Kobe finished that finals generating much more points for the team than Gasol. Kobe averaged 10 points per game more than Gasol while averaging 8 rebounds, while averaging 4 assists and while averaging 2,2 steals per game. Kobe finished that series with 28,6 points per game, but when you consider the fact that it was very low scoring series and Lakers as a team averaged 91 points I think and Celtics as a team averaged 88 points. When consider that it was one of the most physical and intense finals series ever, Kobe's 28,6 points per game and his whole statline is even more impressive. He was clearly the MVP of these finals.
