What a cool story about coming full circle, returning to a tree that's awash in memories. Sounds like everyone, including the tree, grew and developed over time. Nice setup on the tree, too, I like how you utilized the full environment. Those madrones look like interesting trees to climb with that paper thin bark/skin

Jeff, this was an awesome video. I am new to climbing. Been running saws and swinging an axe all my life. I have been working on eating an elephant at my Dad's house. Elephant being a huge three stem silver maple. We had 20 and 30 mph winds yesterday. I have one stem left with only one sprawling branch on it. I wanted to climb it yesterday. Long story short. I'm climbing it today. Keep up the good work. Love your videos. You guys are all. Great

I can see where you get your easy going nature from, its good to see your dad doesn't hold an old argument against you. I was lucky enough to have grandparents that had 13 acres where I spent my summers. I loved working on the property, each year she would buy me tools to make the work more efficient and safe for me, if she wanted work done a certain way, it was done that with no questions. I was fortunate to learn those lessons from her very early in my life, work hard, show your elders respect.
