The Day of Pentecost | Acts 2 | Gary Hamrick

The followers of Jesus, who numbered about 120, were told to wait in Jerusalem until the “Promise” of the Holy Spirit. When the Day of Pentecost came, God poured out the Holy Spirit on all who had gathered in that Upper Room. It was an AUDIBLE, VISIBLE, and VERBAL event-the sound like a rushing wind, the sight of flames of fire lighting on each person, and people speaking in “tongues.” In today’s study, Pastor Gary gives the history of Pentecost and covers the AUDIBLE and VISIBLE aspects of what happened when God’s Spirit was poured out in Acts 2.

25:28 - 2) to Celebrate the end of the wheat harvest by offering at the Temple two loaves of wheat bread made with yeast.

Another parallel....At 23:19 When those 3000 were saved, 3000 sinners died to self. If I lived closer to Leesburg I would definitely go to cornerstone. Pastor Gary is just such a knowledgeable preacher and seems to bring something new to every sermon that I've never even considered...

I started listening to the voice of Gary Hamrick since June 1, 2024. The study was Revelation. My spirit have received so much that words cannot express alone.. I was taught and believe that the divided, or cloven two-part, flames upon each believer was thus given: one significant for the praying in tongues by the believe alone, and the other flame significant of a message from God in tongues for the congregation.

Dear Ps Hamrick Shalom in J E S U S ❤ Acts 2 1) Mighty Wind filled the House aka Father’s House ; the Wind didn't fill the Room 2) Pentecost was annually celebrated @ the Temple. 3) Upper-Room was in Bethany, a Sabbath Day journey (about 2miles) away from the Father’s HOUSE. 4) They that were together in one place in one accord were the Band of Twelve Apostles - that one place was at the Temple @ Portico of Solomon. The Twelve therein took over the Pentecost meeting for Ministry & Apostleship (Acts 1v25) 5) Those Twelve were the Foundational Apostles (Rev21v14) 6) Apostle Paul was not featured with the Twelve becoz he wasn't with JESUS since the Day of John's Baptismal Ministry. 7) the 3,000 that repented & received the Baptism in JESUS were at the Temple Ground - unimaginable that massive crowd were also contained in the Upper-Room. Don't forget the disciples just had a 40 day bible study with Jesus. Paul couldn't qualify as a member of the 12 because he don't meet the qualification. Paul is born out of due time and is a type of the nation of Israel.

I’m simply wondering, why pastors cannot say That the Commandments alone cannot save you, but that we most certainly should keep them because Paul himself tells us that the commandments are holy, and just, and good: in addition, he says that the commandments are our righteousness! So keeping the Commandments alone cannot save you, but keeping them with faith and not just culturally, can and will! Not to mention our Savior himself tells us in John 14:15) if you love me keep my commandments! Keeping the Commandments with Faith is literately what sets us apart from the world, and makes us God’s children to lead others into righteousness, and nothing else! May our Heavenly Father and Savior, bless us all according to his righteousness!!!
