Jezebel was the original Humpty Dumpty. She was waiting for Jehu (who had been anointed as king) in a window, high up a palace wall. (Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall). Jehu ordered the eunuchs to throw her down. (Humpty Dumpty had a great fall). King Jehu’s horses trampled her body. Then Jehu and his men went to have lunch. He decided that she should have a proper burial as respect to her position, so he sent his men back to the wall to collect her body. But, his men reported back that there were only pieces of her body left. (All the King’s horses and all the King’s men, couldn’t put Humpty together again).

I’m still struggling to support my children. My health is failing after suffering a heart attack and I’m battling lupus. Being a single mom is challenging. I have a perfect righteousness that comes from God because I trust solely on the shed ßIood of Christ as my justification. You have a righteousness that is tainted when held against God’s righteousness, because you believe your righteousness comes by what YOU DO, rather than believing the true gospel, which says our righteousness depends on the ßIood of Christ shed to purchase our pardon from sîn, and whether we believe we were justified at the cross, apart from any works of the Law, based on our faith in the person and redemptive work of Christ ALONE. You have a false gospel that can never save you, because you think you will be judged against other humans who didn’t keep the Law as well as you did, when in actuality you’re going to be judged against GOD’S RECORD OF KEEPING HIS LAW, based on the life of Jesus Christ, and you will fall short as Romans 3 says we all do, because Jesus Christ, God come in the flesh, is the only one who has EVER walked the earth as a flesh man and kept the Law perfectly. Even King David knew that his righteousness didn’t come from ANYTHING HE DID, but solely from him trusting in God to not count his trespasses of the Law against him. Salvation has ALWAYS been by faith in God alone, just as Abraham BELIEVED GOD and it was counted as righteousness to him, Romans 4. You are completely dismissing what Christ did, trusting in your own works to save you, thereby making His deàth in vain, and trodding on the ßIood of the Son of YHVH, WHO WAS SENT TO BE THE PROPITIATION FOR OUR ŚINŚ. Perhaps you should look up the definition of “propitiation”, and why Jesus Christ said “Tetelestai”, PAID IN FULL, before He gave up His spirit. You either believe the gospel, that you were justified at the cross by the precious atoning ßIood of God, Acts 20 vs 28, and nothing you do can add to, or take away from, Christ’s ßIood’s ability to erase all your sîns, or you don’t. If you don’t believe the true gospel, and you trust in what you do, or don’t do, for your righteousness, then you have made Christ of no effect for you, Galatians 5, and you will be condemned by the Law you are justifying yourself by, because you can’t keep it perfectly like Christ did. If you have put your faith in what Jesus did alone, apart from the Law, then God has already declared you righteous by faith in the Son whom He sent to be the substitutionary atonement, the propitiation, for all your sîns, and the righteous are not under the Law, but under the Spirit, so we can’t be condemned by the Law if God has already declared us righteous by faith, because the Law was made for the UNRIGHTEOUS, and NOT THE RIGHTEOUS BY FAITH, to show us our sîns, to push us to faith in Christ as our Savior. That’s why Romans 8 says those in Christ can’t be condemned, “There is therefore NO CONDEMNATION for those who are in Christ”, because those who are NOT UNDER THE LAW can’t be condemned by the Law. You’re still trying to be your own “savior”, seeking to be glorified by your own works for righteousness, trying to steal the glory from God because you refuse to accept what Jesus Christ did alone for your redemption. You’re not set free, you’re still under the curse of the Law, when Galatians 3 says clearly that CHRIST BECAME A CURSE TO REMOVE US FROM THE CURSE OF THE LAW. It’s human pride that causes people to justify themselves by the Law instead of by trusting in what Jesus did alone, because if you can say you earned your way to Heaven by keeping the Law, then you can boast of your own works for redemption. But the truth is that not one person deserves Heaven, but we all deserve God’s eternal wràth, and those who humbly acknowledge that they deserve God’s eternal wràth, who humbly give God all the glory for sending Christ to dîe in their place on the cross, taking the punishment we deserve, who only boast of how great our God is, and how great the redemptive work of Christ is for blotting out our sîns forever, will actually enter God’s kingdom in Heaven.

Actually Jezebel was a great grandmother at the time of her death. Ahab's (and probably her) daughter Athaliah usurped the throne in Judah - she had married King Jehoram - a bad king who was the son of the very good King Jehoshaphat (a contemporary of Ahab & Jezebel's). After Jehoram's death their eldest son Ahaziah ascended to the throne - and he was killed in the political coup in Israel that killed his uncle Joram and his grandmother Jezebel. After Athaliah heard this she tried to have all her grandchildren killed so they couldn't assume the throne (she very well might be even worse than Jezebel) but one of Ahaziah's sister's was married to Jehovah's high priest and they hid him away, teaching him how to do right until it was time for him to assume the throne. This child (King Joash) became the remnant of the Davidic royal line that ultimately led to Our Lord.

There is a reason for the saying; 'History belongs to the victors'. They could make up whatever they wanted to claim she had it coming. They chose to demonize her more because she had been an admired woman who followed a different religion than theirs, which is why they had to murder her roughly to make her an example of what could happen to other followers of competing religions. Even if it meant blaming her for the King's actions aka by blaming her for 'influencing', plotting, etc., they would somehow find a reason this woman deserved no mercy. We do not get to hear her side of the story, but it is also possible that a loving creator may see it differently from what the victors claimed in that time before the love & mercy of Christ arrived, (e.g., such loving teachings, which had not even been accepted yet by those victors, if ever). At least, we can find some of the loving teachings of Christ recorded in the 'New Testament', and especially in your heart and soul to feel love and understand that our Creator is loving and the good news message is that we should also love one another.🥰
