My husband passed away 3 weeks ago, he was very sick, he was 27 years old, We have been together for 12years I feel so broken without him, I thank God that in his last moments he was receiving prayers and he was praying too i always would be praying and fasting for him, he accepted Jesus when i started taking him to church I remember 2 days before he passed away I was at church on a Sunday, I remember he sent me a message saying that he would rather have been praising God than being in the hospital bed, Now i understand his words more that he would have rather be with the Lord than being in the world suffering, It's really hard without him, my love my best friend, I thank God he had time to prepare which many people don't have that chance.

Secondly, After God had formed him from the dust, he was already a soul but a dead soul so to speak, however the introduction of the breath of life or the spirit made him a living soul, So Adam was not given a soul, he was the soul, the breath only made the soul that he already was to become alive. You can compare this to a phone company who after finishing the creation of their latest phone fixed in the battery to get it to begin to function. In this case, adam without the breath of life corresponds to the phone without the battery. the battery 🔋 therefore would represent the breath of Life that got the phone working just like the breath of life got Adam into a state of activity. Hence the breath of life or the spirit is the LIFE FORCE or ENERGY that sparks life into body. that energy comes from God, it is not an invisible version of the body that laid inactive on the ground independent of the breath of Life. the breath of Life can not work independently of the body just as a literal phone battery 🔋 can not make calls or text or access the internet without the phone. Because that energy known as the breath of life that sparks life into the body and makes it ALIVE comes from God, the fountain of life [psalms 36:9] it is only reasonable that at Death, that Life force should return to him [Ecclesiastes 12:7] Just the same way that current returns back to it's source when the power supply is cut off. Understanding what God told Adam when confronting him with his disobedience helps us to know the True condition of the dead. There God told him : In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return.”[gen 3:19] In a very simple language, God was saying to Adam that he would once again become as lifeless as the dust of the ground from which he was taken. Adam had come from a state non-existent, the dust, to Life, at death therefore he would return back to that state of non-existent, the dust, where he came. It is in the Sense that Ecclesiastes 9:5 says that the death know nothing, because at death people no longer exist, they are simply in a state of unconsciousness. That is why of dead Lazarus Jesus said: He has fallen asleep and the apostle Paul spoke about the resurrection or restoration to consciousness of people in his time who had fallen asleep in the Lord. Hence the state of sleep is a fitting comparison to the condition of the dead. [John 11:11 1 thessalonians 4:14] Come to think of it 🤔🤔🤔 For a resurrection to make sense, people who die would have to be out of the realm of Life or else they don't need a resurrection! Come on now, Lets be logical, God gave us brains, lets use it, we are intelligent creatures, not animals. This is already long enough and I have many more to say on this but I don't want to cover more than this sheet. But the bible is very clear about death, it is the opposite of life, an antonym not a synonym. I love this Ministry. I am 58 and I still have my parents. Dad is 88 and mom is 86. I am so thankful that I was raised in a Christian home. Mom and dad taught me everything about God. I was bedside when my mom passed away after valiant battle with pancreatic cancer at the age of 65 . Immediately after her last breath left her lungs I observed her in spirit form lift up from her body a few feet and then she disappeared. She appeared as a young lady peacefully sleeping. I believe God wants me to tell of this incredible vision to encourage those who might have a fear of death. I lost my dear dad in December 2021. I talk out loud & mentally to him often, knowing that he may or may not hear me, because it gives me comfort. 😢 I accepted God into my heart at the age of 7. He was a Christian, also. I take some comfort knowing that I will see him one day. I hate this grieving/ missing him business!! 😢 Because of my depression, I didn't visit my parents as often as I would have liked. 😢 Thankfully my mom is still here. 😊 Edit: They only lived about 20 miles away,too. Now she is in a different town, which is maybe 5 miles closer. She went through alot in such a short time. 😥

Right before he took his last breath, I said to him, "I will see you soon brother", and he replied "Uhuh"! and his spirit departed. The most important thing we can do in life is be assured that we will go to be with Jesus in His paradise wherever that may be. To be reborn is to do away with our selfish desires, poor habits, hatred, and deceit. We may be tempted to do these things, but we also desire to be obedient to His teachings. First of all, I am a Jehovah's witness. Thought I should let you know because he mentioned us. Now let's talk about what happens to people when they die and by that lets go back to the first man Adam who happens to be the first to receive the sentence of death, if we can know what happened to Adam at Death, then we can know what happens to the rest of His descendants who die, after all, it is the same Death they all inherited from him, isn't it? Before his creation, the man Adam never existed. He wasn't an imported soul from a previous life into a human body to Begin a new life. Infact concerning his creation genesis 2:7 says: And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. First thing to note here is, Adam's existence began from that very day he was formed from the dust, before then he never existed. Secondly, After God had formed him from the dust, he was already a soul but a dead soul so to speak, however the introduction of the breath of life or the spirit made him a living soul, So Adam was not given a soul, he was the soul, the breath only made the soul that he already was to become alive. You can compare this to a phone company who after finishing the creation of their latest phone fixed in the battery to get it to begin to function. In this case, adam without the breath of life corresponds to the phone without the battery. the battery 🔋 therefore would represent the breath of Life that got the phone working just like the breath of life got Adam into a state of activity. Hence the breath of life or the spirit is the LIFE FORCE or ENERGY that sparks life into body. that energy comes from God, it is not an invisible version of the body that laid inactive on the ground independent of the breath of Life. the breath of Life can not work independently of the body just as a literal phone battery 🔋 can not make calls or text or access the internet without the phone. Because that energy known as the breath of life that sparks life into the body and makes it ALIVE comes from God, the fountain of life [psalms 36:9] it is only reasonable that at Death, that Life force should return to him [Ecclesiastes 12:7] Just the same way that current returns back to it's source when the power supply is cut off. Understanding what God told Adam when confronting him with his disobedience helps us to know the True condition of the dead. There God told him : In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return.”[gen 3:19] In a very simple language, God was saying to Adam that he would once again become as lifeless as the dust of the ground from which he was taken. Adam had come from a state non-existent, the dust, to Life, at death therefore he would return back to that state of non-existent, the dust, where he came. It is in the Sense that Ecclesiastes 9:5 says that the death know nothing, because at death people no longer exist, they are simply in a state of unconsciousness. That is why of dead Lazarus Jesus said: He has fallen asleep and the apostle Paul spoke about the resurrection or restoration to consciousness of people in his time who had fallen asleep in the Lord. Hence the state of sleep is a fitting comparison to the condition of the dead. [John 11:11 1 thessalonians 4:14] Come to think of it 🤔🤔🤔 For a resurrection to make sense, people who die would have to be out of the realm of Life or else they don't need a resurrection! Come on now, Lets be logical, God gave us brains, lets use it, we are intelligent creatures, not animals. This is already long enough and I have many more to say on this but I don't want to cover more than this sheet. But the bible is very clear about death, it is the opposite of life, an antonym not a synonym. You see, I.had a rough life but met a man in 1971, he was 37, I was 28, wevwere married within 8 months, we.both got baptised together, he loved the Lord, he got sick, I took care te of him, he passed on the morning of our 47th, even though I had him for so many years, I miss him soooo much. I have also been through so much illness since I was born, so many and some deadly accidents also this summer with a broken body could almost not come to the toilet and only lay down all summer.. Praying to God in pain if He wanted to let me go of my body now or heal me completely which I hoped for the most... And Hallelujah, now I can walk a little again, shop a little groceries on my own again once a week by car, I can EAT again which I could not all summer... being all alone and so so scared... needing a hand to hold on to and caring loving arms and words from a loved one, but I was all alone far out on the countryside and thanked God several times a day that He was by my side, healing me - Thank you SO much our only true God, Jesus our Savior Gods son, Our Father Jahve God and The Holy Spirit Hallelujah - I GREW UP WITH FALSE TEACHING ABOUT DEATH AND OTHER DEADLY SERIOUS FALSE TEACHING BUT SINCE I WAS A CHILD I QUESTIONED THAT TEACHING AS I READ THE WHOLE CHAPTERS IN THE BIBLE FOR MY SELF AND NOT JUST THROUGH RELIGIOUS LEADERS TEACHING IN JW... I believe that as well. I also believe that our spirit goes back to the Lord when we die and that we are in a holding place as mentioned in Luke chapter 16 verses 25, and 26. I also believe that place is called paradise as Jesus Christ mentioned to the thief on the cross. If we were already in heaven with the Lord there wouldn't be any need for the first resurrection mentioned in 1 Thessalonians chapter 4 verse 16.

The Bible says that when we die our spirit "sleeps", our consciousness will be as if we are asleep and when the Resurrection/Rapture happens at Jesus Christ's 2nd coming the dead in Christ will "awake" up and be raised and given eternal bodies. It will feel as if a night of sleep where you wake up and feel rested but also it does not even feel like any time has passed from when you laid down. This is how the dead "know nothing", they are "asleep" and cannot see what is happening after their death. They do not become angels or watch over us as some like to believe. Why have a resurrection of the dead in Christ at His 2nd coming if those who died in Christ are already in heaven? The Spirit does not come down with Christ to resurrect their mortal remains for them to be turned into immortal bodies. There would be no need, if they were already in heaven they would already have eternal bodies. If not then would they just be disembodied spirits doing what until the Rapture/Resurrection? Paradise is not heaven. Paradise is REST. The Wheat and the Chaff, the sheep and the goats are separated at His appearing. Jesus told the thief they would both be in paradise, that day their bodies and spirits would be at rest. Only eternal bodies can enter heaven. We should rejoice in the prospect of our loved ones having rest until they are resurrected to spend eternity with us in our new bodies in heaven with Christ.

I'm also of similar thinking, because many passages in the Bible say that the spirit sleeps after death, but it is such a complicated topic. I don't believe in purgatory, and I also don't really believe that people immediately go to hell or heaven after death. Because then what would be the purpose of Jesus' second coming? So I mostly lean towards that description that we sleep (all, both righteous and unrighteous) until Jesus' coming. But there is another interpretation that also sounds logical to me. Man was made of dust/clay, but the breath of God was breathed into him and thus he became a living soul. When that man dies, the body goes to the ground, and the breath of God returns to God. So the soul is no longer there. When Jesus comes, the breath of God joins with a new body and then we become so-called immortal souls, beings. I'm also not sure about the part with hell. It's hard for me to believe that is eternal because the reward for those who decide for God is eternal life and for sin is death/eternal punishment. What kind of God would that be? And what would that eternal life of ours be like in which we would watch our loved ones suffer? I can't imagine that this will really happen and that someone is ok with it. If you think you could be happy watching someone suffer, ask yourself if your heart is really pure and if you really belong among the Holy and saved people if you enjoy someone else's suffering? It's hard for me to watch on earth when someone of mine suffers,let alone forever watch much worse torture and be happy on the other side? How? I think that the term hell, especially eternal hell/suffering, is not correct. I'm of the opinion that the righteous dead will rise first, then the living. Satan will be bound for 1000 years and at that time we will tbe with Jesus. When the 1000 years are over, Jerusalem descends from heaven, Jesus and us with him. Satan is released and with him rise up the unrighteous and he will lead them to attack the Holy people (the saved). They will not succeed because God will throw fire (that's the lake of fire) on them like He threw on Sodom and Gomorrah and thus destroy sin and evil forever. (are Sodom and Gomorrah still burning?) On the new earth, only Jesus and the saved remain without sin, without evil, without eating popcorn while watching bunch of people burning forever. That's just my understanding, it doesn't necessarily have to be right.

And on subject why did Jesus talk more about hell than heaven, well maybe it's possible because He wants everyone to be saved. Not because people will suffer forever if they do not decide for God, but because of that decision they will disappear forever, they will not be in the presence of God and enjoy with Him and in everything that He will give to the saved and they will lose a lot. Maybe He wanted to make sure people were very aware of it before it's too late.

@@Bea-xc7wy I subscribe to the theory that when the unbelievers are resurrected and judged at the White Throne Judgment that the length of time until they are consumed by The Lake of Fire is directly related to their amount and heinousness of their sins, those who have been more evil will burn longer than others. Consider Stalin who would suffer longer punishment than compared to an atheist who choose to reject Jesus but was normally a decent person. Since they were not given eternal bodies at their resurrection then they would perish/be consumed by the fire because they are not immortal. The Lake of Fire burns forever because the Fallen Angels and Satan who will burn in eternal fire because they are immortal beings.

Beautiful message brother. I always viewd the dead in two ways. Those who are living in rebellion, and those who are physically dead. What can those who live in rebellion teach those who are living in truth? Can a blind man tell the one who sees of the traps layed on the path? Can a dead body answer the anxious questions of the one who is alive? They that rebel know nothing because they are on the path to destruction. Now this is not to stay they are not intelligent or don't have useful information, but that their guidance to life is fruitless to the one who is walking in truth. Likewise the bones of the dead can no longer answer. What sagely wisdom can come from the grave? What question can be asked to the dead that will be answered? My brother died in October this year, my sister who rarely dreams and doesn't really believe in God, had a dream about my brother in beautiful countryside, she said he was laughing looked younger and was with my mum and sister who passed awhile back she said others were there along with a pet dog who died decades ago, it blew me away coming from her.

"Today" is a reference to time. Jesus knew the thief would die that day. Once that thief (or anybody) dies they enter *timelessness*. They, in terms of every part of them (except for their physical body) are no longer on the earth or "under the sun" but now exist in a completely different realm, fast asleep where time, space & matter are of no consequence and no limitation. When the thief on the cross finally wakes up at Jesus's return, maybe he will look around and say, "Where is Jesus of Nazareth, is he still on that cross?"

As Luke 16:26-35 says regarding the torment of the wicked, *"They have Moses and the Prophets,(the entire old testament) let them hear them"* meaning the entire Old Testament. And, again in Luke 16:26-31 Christ says, *"If they will NOT hear Moses and the Prophets, NEITHER will they believe even if one came back from the dead and warned them"* Once again, the Adventist *CHANGED* the doctrine of Christ from *unending torment* , to soul sleep, like they *CHANGED* the Sabbath from being only a commandment for the nation of the "Children of Israel" to FORCE IT TO binding on all mankind.
