This system is setup in a two stage system The beeping is stage 1 or pre-alert and the message said "WARNING! The Fire Alarm system has operated Please standby for further instructions. When it started whooping it went into stage 2 or the evacuation stage and the message said "Evacuate as directed! Evacuate as directed!"

why did it do a march time beep when the alarm started going off and then switch to the whoop? Did it play a different message during the beeping?

Speaking of movie's, there's a scene in National treasure 2 where the fire alarm goes off in Buckingham palace. Interestingly enough it's the same type of system, must be how they do it in England and Australia.
