Ririka's cooking thought process is really similar to FutureCanoe's cooking shorts. Just improper measurements, cooking techniques, and substituting every ingredient with what you have on hand/what looks similar, and then questioning why it doesn't look/taste like what the recipe shows

Absolutely adore your editing. I've been watching your clips since the first few Shiori videos and it's only gotten better and more refined since then. Keep up the excellent work. Ririka's "it tastes like real food" is very relatable. When I returned from university for the first time eating a home-cooked meal instead of the nonsense I would cook for myself felt like being touched by an angel, such was the difference. In her case she doesn't have the same constraints, but the feeling is very much universal among anyone who moved out with little cooking skills, I think.

When you're learning how to cook, I would suggest buying all the ingredients for the recipe you want to make and then follow the recipe as closely as you're able to. Making changes and substitutions before you understand all the parts of a recipe is a great way to discover how not to make food. Use the leftover ingredients for experimenting. But hey, Ririka is trying to cook, at least.
