Edit: same sex relationships are legal of course, but they can't benefit from financial bonuses or legal protections/benefits that married couples enjoy. In Japan newlyweds can get a little government support to help buy a new home for example.

Well the management does push certain pairings/groupings sometimes, independently of the relationships of individual talents (while Suisei and Miko are quite close at this point MiComet was actually created by the management iirc, AquMarine are actually close but UmiSea was pretty much entirely created by Cover).
