My new favorite version of this Academy Award winner for Johnny Mercer and Henry Mancini (1962). After "I Remember You" (my favorite up-tempo song by Sinatra) "Days of Wine and Roses" was Mercer's favorite lyrical child. Not least because it is comprised of just two sentences! [From memory imperfect:] The days of wine and roses, laugh and run away -- like a child at play -- through a meadow land, toward a closing door -- a door marked 'Nevermore' -- that wasn't there before! The lonely night discloses, just a passing breeze, filled with memories, of the golden smile, that introduced me to .... the days of wine and roses -- and YOU. Thanks Jun Satsuma for your deceptively simple but oh-so-beautiful rendition of this great old song. Your biggest fan in the world's coldest major city. Any Canadian can tell you where that is. I celebrate (nearing 25K views) "Great Melody, Great Lyric, Great Rendition, Songwriting Workshop, Harmony Central " and sooner or later I've got to include one of your videos! Be well and happy.

なんと美しい。。。やった事の無いJAZZギターを練習したくなっちゃいました。 とりあえずJunさんの酒とバラの日々を頑張ってコピりたいですが初心者にはハードル高そうですねｗコードが聞いた事の無い美しいコードばかりで圧倒されます。
