Well time to list the references (and memes if I recognise any) Poco's name likely comes from the Californian Country Rock band Poco. Tarkus is named after the album Tarkus by Emerson, Lake & Palmer. Bruford is named after musician Bill Bruford, formerly the drummer of Yes. Memes - Episode 5: "Nice Catch!" (Engrish memes) Episode 5: "Hey baby!" (More Engrish) Episode 5: "How many slices of bread have you eaten?" Also wanted to correct the names as the subtitles you got mess up the names cuz copyright :P examples are that Tarukus should be Tarkus and Blueford should be Bruford. It isn't so noticeable in the first 3 parts, but once ya reach part 4 then it kinda becomes a big deal 🤷‍♂ An example I can say from part 4 would be that one of the names changes from Echoes to Reverb. You can still watch with the localised names version, ain't no problem just realised it that's all.

I actually really like the idea behind Phantom Blood, this period drama that shifts into a supernatural martial arts horror action story about a noble young man fighting a horde of zombies and a cruel vampire he has built a personal rivalry with. SO I'm in the camp that doesn't think its bad, just fast paced. Now to explain the difference between zombies and vampires in JoJo's: zombies are created by a vampire's touch...somehow. Once a person's blood is drained they become a zombie. Dio also seems to like to use his powers to make horrific mutant zombies as well, likely to accentuate how superior he feels over his victims. Zombies can create more zombies with their bite, but they can't create vampires. Only the stone mask has that power. SO the idea SEEMS to be that zombies are like semi-vampires, have many qualities and weakness of a vmapire but are weaker and are driven to obey the will of the vampire who created them. Vampires meanwhile are far stronger, and it seems some are driven to kill,while some retain their mind far better (perhaps due to actively wanting the power of the vampire rather than having it forced upon them?). Vampires have INCREDIBLE power of their bodies and the bodies of others, allowing them to alter zombies as they see fit as well as give themselves powers based on twisting their bodies beyond human limits (as Dio demonstrates with his own powers). JoJo's monsters are jsut built different.

Let's say he eats seven slices daily - two in the morning sandwich, same for lunch, and in the evening, also we'll add one to go with dinner. Then he is 50 years old - but let's say he didn't eat that many breads as a one year old, so 49 years of that diet. Daily diet of seven slices for 49 years comes around 125 195 - that would imply Dio personally ate that many people, which would be more than total death-toll in Arab-Israeli conflict and near half the Britain's total losses in WWII That's a lot of bread.

Anyway explanation time! There wasn't anything new in this episode except the freezing or hamon so I'll cover some neat facts that won't spoil anything since that would ruin the surprise but I'll try to explain some of the things about their powers and other stuff people may be confused about during their first watch. So vampires have alot of abilitys some are so u know they aren't shown until much later like the freezing, one can think of it like a toddler first Learning to crawl which is the zombie making then he slowly starts walking which is the freezing and so forth every vampire has these abilitys but most don't uncover them since who would think of creating vapor to extract someone's heat with their own body? Now let's talk hamon. I explained earlier that hamon kinda works like electricity which still holds true(like the turquoise blue overdrive travels good in water) here was shown the scarlet red overdrive which heats the part of the body to extrem temperature not quiet Bruning but damn close getting hit by it burns you quiet alot. Also a little detail hamon works on humans aswell (as seen with the kid and Jonathan) which some might not know from part 1 alone so getting hit by hamon actually hurts normal humans aswell with the capacity to insta kill them but vampires burn instantly upon contact while humans can be knocked out from indirect contact and killed by a direct zap.
