I just got my seismic in the mail yesterday, the lock is just as tight as my old buck110! Shaves hair straight out of the box, and big enough to handle anything you'd ever throw at a pocket knife. Feels great in the hand, definitely my new favorite edc. Here's to many years of crkt exceeding expectations! Well worth the money!

Of all the locks to come out in the past few years, the Deadbolt is by far the most intriguing. It seems like such a simple, strong, and intuitive lock. Kudos to Flavio Ikoma and CRKT for developing the lock and making it affordable. Can't wait to try it out!

This knife would be absolutely perfect as an everyday carry, outdoor/hunting knife, and an intense letter opener. For me, I'd definitely use this knife on the job site as well as on my property to cut anything from rope to boxes to bags and more. Honestly I'm impressed by the skilled engineering done with this knife, this is something genuinely unique. True craftsmanship. Well done Flavio Ikoms and CRKT.

This is a great design. Almost as strong as a triad lock with what looks to be easier to use. Cold steel praised it when they tested it. I have both brands of knives, you dont have to be loyal to any one brand

I was already impressed with the new locking mechanism when I saw it, but now that I see all the design and functionality that went into it, I am blown away! I would use this as an EDC, and I think it would be very handy in the shop or on the ranch.

I have loved CRKT since I started in my knife journey. I use my knives everyday and for any task. I have been a knife carrier and user since i was 8 years old. Little background i was eight years old and i got a bike stolen at gunpoint and from that moment i know i would never be taken advantage of like that again. First, thank you for creating this. Being a wheelchair user I need to keep strong, sturdy and reliable tools at hand. That being said when it comes to knives I have had some cheap ones in the past that I kept in a pouch beneath my wheelchair seat however dirt and grit have always become an issue. Alongside that, I have had some knives locking mechanism give out which is not what I need. If I had this, it would allow me to have a quality knife to carry around for daily use but also emergencies without the worry of dirt lock-ups or reduced locking mechanism issues. Living everyday in a wheelchair I adapt every day of my life and this knife would adapt with me and allow me more ability. love it

Knife nut enthusiast and collector here. I read about the deadbolt design a while ago before it came into production and thought the deployment and release mechanism was innovative and intuitive. Seems much more up to date than all my classic framelocks. I just bought my first home and finally have some space to build a workshop and would love to put a Deadbolt on knife to use!

Flavio Ikoma's Dead Bolt lock design has become my favorite. I only have one Dead Bolt lock in my collection of CRKT knives, and will be adding more. I prefer to carry a large folder, and Flavio's designs are very easy for one handed use. Is this the strongest lock on the market? I would not hesitate to literally hammer on the back of a knife with this lock, knowing it would not fail. I would use the Seismic for every day carry. I cut a lot of rope and plastic through the day on the job, and this knife would be great for that. I would also use it on the mountain for camping and every day chores, including food prep. It is the perfect size for all around use. Keep up with the great designs Flavio, and keep the unique designs coming CRKT!

This is the knife I have been looking for when I work on the back of my property . When I need a knife that fits in my pocket it is strong enough to tackle tough jobs without hesitation and nervous of a frame lock or liner lock knife. Yessir all the strengths of a pocket knife without any of the weaknesses for tough work.

I am a believer in the quality of these tools and knives. I spend a lot of time outside as a shooter and a camper and general adventurer. I need at all times my axe, belt knife, boot knife, pocket knife, multi tool and tool kit. I would use the deadbolt as my backpack knife. It's the perfect size and practically indestructible.

This locking system is the best I ha e ever seen even better than the tri lock from cold steel. I have a lot of folding knives and most are CRKT knives. None of them look as strong and reliable as this. I will for sure invest in some of these knives. I need a good solid knife for work and outdoors,camping and hunting. It’s nice not to worry about the reliability of the tools you have in your hand when performing certain tasks and these knives would be perfect for me. What a great design CRKT you always seem to impress me with new and improved technology. Wow

I'm a technician, and I literally have my knife in my hand 100 times a day. I'm a big fan of Ken Onion, and followed him to CRKT. I always carry a knife or two and use them every day as I volunteer on a lot of different projects. This knife has a very reliable locking mechanism and looks like it is very strong as well. ( I don't know how many knives have snapped off over the years). The idea of being able to adjust the locking mechanism as well. At $99 I will never be able to own one, but maybe I will be lucky? Flavio has a great design with this knife. Congratulations!

The design of this knife, with its blade length and style, as well as the reliable strength of its lock and ease of maintenance, would be perfect for the daily tasks I face as a father of a special needs child. From slicing through soft foods like oranges and breads necessary for my daughters limited chewing, to opening boxes that contain her pull-ups and changing pads, as well as cutting through ropes and wood to build an overhead shade sail to keep her outdoor play area cooler, this knife would be the perfect edc companion to make sure that our needs get met.

Brilliant design! I love seeing new concepts like this. I work with wood crafting, I also garden so I need a working tool as well need a good EDC knife that's robust. I like the one hand opening closing design because I have arthritis in my hands so I need a knife I can open and close with one hand. My current EDC Schrade SC90B could soon have a replacement. I like the push button for the ease of closing. The strength of the deadbolt is awesome too. With that blade shape and size, I would carry that daily and would use it deer hunting in October. I will definitely consider adding another CRKT to my collection. But this would be one I'd carry.
