Man these sea shanties were awesome. It's amazing how without any actual music, these still give the game one of the best soundtracks in modern times.

it was on a cold and stormy night the snow was on the ground a sailor boy stood on the key his ship was outward bound his sweetheart standing by his side had many a silent tear and as he pressed her to his heart he whispered in her ear farewell farewell my own true love this parting gives me pain i'll be your own true guiding light when i return again my thoughts shall be of you, of you when the storm is riding high farewell my love remember i'm your faithful sailor boy it was in a gale that ship set sail he kissed his love goodbye she watched their craft 'till out of sight 'till a tear bedimmed her eye and she prayed to ondra in the deeps to guide them on their way those loving parting words that night re-echoed in her ear farewell farewell my own true love this parting gives me pain i'll be your own true guiding light when i return again my thoughts shall be of you, of you when the storm is riding high farewell my love remember i'm your faithful sailor boy but sad to say that ship returned without that sailor boy oh he died whilst out upon their voyage and the flag was half-mast high and his comrades when they came on shore told her that he was dead and a letter he had sent to her the last line sadly said farewell farewell my own true love life's done for me farewell i soon shall be from storm and sea deep in the dark of hel i hope we meet on the wheel's next turn when life's begin anew where you will be united with your faithful sailor boy

Thank you! It was quite a week..A lot of responsibility for arranging and rehearsing, while singing at the same time. Great support from Obsidian, with producer Josh Sawyer singing along and giving guidance even. Bought us lunch too! Brilliant. I’ve never felt danger for my voice so strong though, the last hour of that session. It was all done in one day in the end. Gave it all.. I’m really happy people like it!!!

in my playthrough i`m romancing xoti with my kind wayfarer. And there was this time when this shantie started and i imagined them both embracing each other while leaning on the ship`s parapet and the saw this and started singging for them

"based on"..exactly...it's The Faithful Sailor Boy..I took the tune from the version by a Reg Pyett from the collection Many a Good Horseman, Norfolk and Suffolk folk-song "field-recordings". It's the best version of the melody I know of. Words have a few changes.
