Hello, This dam stops 2 reclamation canals. You can see it in drone view. Also this affects the fields, so it would damage the various cultures of grains. If you want to support my channel do it here: www.paypal.com...

Beavers stop the water flow OVER the dam b/c of the sound it makes. Noise inspires them to build taller. When an underwater pipe is installed, it keeps water flowing and them happy.

Great to see you doing the best thing of all, which is treading back and forth, releasing the mud with your boots and allowing the current to erode it away. As you know sticks are only the top of the dam, the beavers make the core out of mud and stones.

@rgoers2 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same thing. Once he removed all the sticks and wood it seemed like an awful lot of effort was needed with the rake. I would think using the pickaxe to loosen things up and then raking would make things easier. It would also help in getting all the way down. I've noticed the dams removals still tend to leave the upstream side higher than downstream which means there is more that could be removed.

I was wondering, though, do you make the channel of the stream, as it was, before the beavers made the dam? I don't ever see, or have not noticed, the evening, making the land even, with the streams upriver, or downriver.

I mean like, do you make the land even, so that there is no torrent of water going over a waterfall, like it is, over other parts of the stream? A rake that goes deeper in will not help. The branches are intertwined, and you can't pull up a large clump of them. Have you noticed how he has to really tug on some longer branches? And sometimes has to leave it until he has made more headway on surrounding branches?
