Years ago we took our daughters to Gettysburg, and toured the Jenny Wade House. When we got to the basement, at the time there was also a wax mannequin of a Union soldier gesturing to Jenny's body. My older daughter began freaking out, saying the soldier moved. She was so spooked she RAN from the basement. Mind you, she was a teenager, and not given to drama. None of the rest of us noticed it, but we found out it happens a LOT! I do have to say, there is a distinct aura of sadness that permeates the home.

I ordered The Big Book of Pennsylvania Ghosts Stories and immediately found Jenny’s story. Also bought several others on Jenny and Gettysburg that I am looking forward to reading. When my USAF active duty husband and I were stationed at the Pentagon we took a weekend trip to the battlefield. It was an unforgettable experience. Thank you again for bringing the story of Jenny to life for all of us.

Gettysburg, what carnage! There must be more tragedies like that of poor Jennie. How sad! I wander why Jennie and her Dad have never connected on the other side. Curious. Thank you all for all your research and once again a great presentation!

A truly sad story, war, alas, in any context, in any country has its casualties.

I've tried to express how much I enjoyed the stories they told but couldn't find the words. Thank you, it's the respect this channel shows, even when they are laughing with each other, the story goes back to complete respect. Great channel.

One of my Great Great Great Great Great Grandfather's fought on Cemetery Ridge. As part of the 104th New York Infantry his regiment was at the front in both Gettysburg and Antietam.

I think Jennie might have been pregnant when she was killed, according to the paranormal program, Ghost Hunters.

I don't know if ghosts or spirits of the dead exist or not. I'm very doubtful, but I realize the sum total of human knowledge is probably fairly miniscule when compared with what we don't know. Great story, but very sad.

You said 51,000 died. WRONG!!! Around 5058 died. Total casualties, including killed, wounded, and missing in action, were 51,000.

What strong people, making bread while they know a battle is going on, like my mother would have said, "they still got to eat". One of the greatest generations of people, we couldn't hold up probably for one day what they had to experience.

If they are experiencing "paranormal activities" they are calling up demons. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Why would you come back?

Sounds like BS to me. She was baking 10 loaves of bread for thousands of Soldiers? Going through TWO wooden doors and killing her?
