Having now watched the video - I AM tearing up as expected I appreciate so much the hard work that went into Mill 5, the community spaces, and the events there. Thinking specifically of the cons... I feel like in so many ways, small cons can be a very fleeting thing. Because sucess means outgrowing the space, outgrowing being "small". But success is also necessary, for an event to continue. I appreciate having the Pop Con events while we had them, and hope for more special, fleeting, enjoyments in the future

I know Popcult Anime Con is really feeling that small con difficulty right now- so many people want it to stay local, but they need to make a profit!!!

The mini cons were such a treat and a wonderful joy to bring to the community, it’s so sad to see such a wonderful central hub lost but as you so eloquently put who knows what the future holds but it’s certainly a cherry on top thought about the positive outpouring for the small businesses and the Mill, I hope the best for all of them - and thank you!

The Pop Cons will always be my favorite and most memorable cons. I really hope that Pop Anime Con continues as I love the small community and these cons were how I and so many others made so many friends. I will miss the fourth floor elevator and I’ll definitely miss exploring the Pop Cultured store. It’s unfortunate we can only cross our fingers and hope that the businesses will be successful despite this sudden change 🤞💕

As a popular webseires once said, "Never say goodbye. If you don't say goodbye, then you aren't really gone. You just aren't here right now." Quote aside this con really changed my life for the better as I was opened up to an entire community of people where I'm allowed to be me. Thank you for hosting these many cons and being a safe space for the NE cosplay community. Until we meet again Pop Comic/Anime con.

"If I start waving at Joe how long do you think it will take him to notice?" AN EMBARRASING AMOUNT OF TIME ACTUALLY. The Mill was a truly unique space for artisans and creators in Lowell and it will be missed. The community fostered by these events felt like all of the best parts of the NE con scene focused into just a few hours. I will sincerely miss the mill and the pop up con events
