Yeah, this is not explored in the series, there are too many holes in this area. I thought the movie would give the answers but they just gave more questions. I really hope that the next season will explore more about the conquistador thing, maybe a prequel.

As a kid I remember seeing these ads and thinking it was the coolest thing ever and really wanting to go. As an adult looking back I do not think my kid self would’ve liked this at all lol. I think I would’ve gotten overwhelmed by all the noise and smells and things going around and I was overall a pretty shy kid so if I didn’t come with a friend or family member of my age I would’ve probs spent the whole thing clinging to my mom lol. I’m sure I would’ve been fine maybe one or two days but the rest of it would be pretty bad lol. I remember going to sleepovers with more than three other people and just masking so hard so imagine a 7 day “sleep over” with hundreds of kids

I remember when I was a kid I used to cry when my parents left me at the ikea play area because I always got overwhelmed so this would not have been any better lol. I also have always had horrible motion sickness so I just know if I went on a cruise I would have spent the whole time throwing up and would have been miserable.

So, I can answer questions about the kiddie pool sliming! I was slimed at Nickelodeon Studios when I was 8, and it came at the end of a tour. Basically what happened is they took me to a little backstage area and had me change into a jumpsuit so that my regular clothes wouldn't get stained or anything, and then the kiddie pool was to basically contain it. It was at the last part of the tour in this little mini studio, and I don't remember a WHOLE lot about that part but there was a bit about Nicktoons video games--I think it was specifically the Ren and Stimpy Sega Genesis game. There were three times where I was supposed to be "slimed": two fakeouts, and the real one. The first one they tried to dump it on me but it was "frozen" solid, the second was these sort of large slime-colored flakes to suggest that they messed up thawing the slime and baked it dry, and the third one was the real deal. It was a little bit cold, and felt kind of good? As I remember, cleanup wasn't too bad--it was water based, IIRC. In the last part, they had me sit on a spot that said "please do not sit here" and that made me feel subversive and cool. Oh yeah, this was... must've been '97?

I think the big difference in the characters is that most famous Disney characters are humanoid or are real humans. The ones that aren't are animals. So it's a little easier to make mascot costumes look less scary when they're furry and look like stuffed animals! But a smooth sponge or a huge Dora mascot rather than a person playing Dora in costume, require a little more suspension of disbelief to make them feel "real"

From my experience, cruises are a little underwhelming. Really, unless you're old enough to fully enjoy the stops and the routine of being on a floating hotel for days at a time, I don't think cruises can offer much, unless you're going on one of those really unique ones like the artic cruise.

Didn’t get to do the Nick cruise, but I don’t think I missed out. That being said, I think after their Nick rights expired, Royal Caribbean would sign with Dreamworks. I did an RC cruise and they had Shrek and all the other characters hanging around the boat. Very fond memories of that.

there is actually a reason the disney mascot costumes dont look as scary most others do. Disney has perfected the mascot costume over time and its definitely in the eye/face they chose to use. it also helps that the people who also are in those costumes are trained very well to gesture naturally and pose themselves well for pictures and such. one of my bf's has a fear of mascot costumes so i did a little looking into these things at one point, on top of other yt vids about didney :pp

Actually some of the Disney characters DO blink! They are semi animatronic or puppeted from the inside to create the illusion that they are living, breathing, and blinking! Especially the main six characters of Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto!

I did this. I was maybe 7? I spent basically the whole time in the kids club, at least from what i remember. The staff of the kids club all used fake names, i remember Jarhead and Cowboy. There was this one australian woman who i fucking hated, i remember she ran the place like military school and put me in time out for wanting to look at the family of dolphins swimming next to the ship instead of putting away crayons.
