The deception of the worldly life | Ustadh Faizan | Jumu’ah khutbah | 19 July 2024

One of the most important aspects of the heart that allowed the Prophets and pious predecessors of the past to continue their work in spite of the tribulations they faced was a detachment from the worldly life.
This is a key message of the Qur’an, helping us to put our efforts during this life in context of the real life, which is the Hereafter. The more the disease of love of worldly life enters the heart, the greater the risk we distance ourselves from our true purpose and the easier it is for enemies to exploit us.
