Hi Joshua how are you , i like your videos, also for labrynt it's good that deck list , the líne that give the unchained card it's very good for a second play not just set 3 trap card and pass ...for the other hand i undestand that dragons have very hard this format More for the ban list ,limit chaos space really hurt the deck to much but i would like to see you how you make a dragón link profile for next meta uncoming... I actually watched the deck building video before this one. And all the way through, I was questioning why are you including the unchained package? You can rarely make it, yet you dedicated half of your extra decks for it, and somewhat crippled one of your best cards in extrav. And the only scenario which you justified the engine doesn't even justify it, because I realized it when you were building your deck that if you already had transaction and your big welcome got ashed, you would have being much better searching a furniture that would make your big welcome alive again, plus search a welcome, and you would have already chained arias to special and synchro for chaos angel or link for muckraker or just leave them on field to resolve big welcome again. However, I kind of liked your logic to not play more 1 of normal traps than just 1. But that would leave a hole in the extra deck since you wouldn't play punishment, and that problem will exist since you "must" get rid of the unchained package in favor of the black goat post phni.

Great video, and might I say, it's really nice to see a deck profile video that keeps all cards on the table. It not only lets you progressively see more of the deck and think about other cards as you are, but it allows you as the presenter to literally reference cards back and forth with ease. First of all, I really llike the competitive content, especially because this is the deck that I play. What I am missing is something I personally struggle the most with: A siding guide. What would you side out, how many cards would you side out and why? Because I am a little lost every game two or three on judging specifically what I'd need against my opponents deck. Is it worth siding in the Bystials versus Mannadium to prevent Astraloud and have a Body/Followup? Is it worth siding in droll against Kash and taking out engine cards even though there is a chance he D-Shifters me? Personally, I do run the unchained package. I like it a lot, for the same reasons you mentioned. It increases the ceiling of disruptions and, what you didnt even mention, can float into more disruption. Escape triggers Lord of Yama, who can then summon back Arianna, who can then add a furniture piece, or a Lady who can fetch another trap from your deck and if you start the combo with Cooclock + Furniture, you always end up with the clock back in the hand, which immediately enables the trap you set via lady to be activated. This also is the reason why I do not like running one lady. S:P little knight is almost never immediate removal, especially because youre often Fiendlocked. Lady is the main body that makes Chaos Angel, who is basically your main source of non-destruction or extra deck removal, since big welcome often enough has to be activated or a bounce doesnt dispose of a threat permanently (Horus sarc, for example..) I find myself in situations quite often where a second lady as an untargeteable threat on the board is vital, especially because she being in the deck increases the value of your resetting regular welcomes so much. The extra deck doesnt have that much immediate removal available and a smart opponent will avoid to trigger arias as long as possible, and not getting to Chaos Angel to banish for example a Horus Sarc can lead to you losing on the crackback. Anyway, having a second Lady available as an add from a re-summoned arianna through Lord of Yama is very important in my opinion because sometimes when you're stopped going first, you're linking off your first lady for the unchained engine with - lets say - an Arianna, because with lady + arianna you have a bounce and a draw, while the unchained combo results in a link, a pop that can trigger furnitures and regular welcome, and an arianna add at the very minimum. Another thing I do not like too much is the lack of a removal trap. Something searchable that can dispose of a singular threat, preferably without destroying it and being able to hit backrow for increased versatility. Ive been liking Terrors of the Overroot a lot more again recently, as it not only works well against kashtira and fire king island but can be used as a general removal tool. The Black Goat Laughs is an amazing card, I already got myself two copies as well, but it is a preventive card where sometimes you wont have the ability to set it up or will be able to deal with a threat on board, especially if you cannot consistently make a chaos angel. And to me losing to a sticky beatstick is probably the worst feeling. Ive tested Ice Dragons prison as it can dispose of both garura and garunix vs. Fire king, but im not too sure what to think about it since it can only dispose of monsters and is quite matchup reliant, although it doesnt target or destroy. I currently do not like too many handtraps in the main deck, especially because - as you mentioned - almost all of your combos are two or three card combos and I dont want to brick on handtraps. I will probably cut ash for droll in the main deck in the future (at least for attending very competitive events where I expect huge numbers of fire king players), as ash doesnt seem to have as much of an impact on the fire decks and rely on the labrynth engine for additional disruption to those 6 handtraps (3 Droll, 3 Imp). But also do run 3 Arias, which can turn together with a Lady, Arianna or Furnitures into an immediate set trap from deck or hand, a pop with lovely or a bounce, but also work as starters which I feel has overall more value. Having something that can 50/50 disrupt or start your combo vs. something that can only disrupt and isnt necessarily even effective. Also I'm not too sure whether increasing the count of the black goat laughs to more than one is a viable idea, because then a lot of disruption in your deck relies of seeing specifically a way to get to furniture, which can be iffy and seeing like a shuffler and TBGL on your hand with zero furnitures in sight is a pretty bad feeling. Especially because TBGL is basically dead into established boards. What are your thoughts on my points?

So, funny thing is: I have Dinh-Kha Bui at my locals and he is always cooking some stuff (sometimes random things, you wouldn't expect) And today, he was not even playing the Unchained version. But he inspired the Backjack version for me, which I still love and play. I do think, it is a superior version of this deck, for one reason alone: Not immediately dying to Ash/Belle, if you did not open Rollback. Today alone, I lost two games, just because I do not have the Unchained cards yet. Still waiting on the mail. The Daruma Karma Cannon is more often than not an immediate game winner. So that one will stay, although I can see, why you would exchange it for "The black goat laughs" (Still a funny name. Die schwarze Ziege lacht.)

I think cutting a second copy of lady isn't a terrible thing, especially because it's hard balancing the monsters out with the traps. But i find she's really nice to open with, because then you can search another monster like an ariane or lovely with big welcome, get a draw ect and still set up a different trap. Plus people often target lady to banish, so its nice to use her as bait while also having another one ready. Plus being able to use welcome to get a clock and use the trap you set with lady is really strong, just being able to adapt like that

I main an unchained lab deck currently it uses much more unchained cards then lab. There's always some interactions that escape can be discarded with furniture and set with Sarama . I haven't gotten roll back yet but I can see that being a very solid 3 of. I'm glad you didn't decide to use the virus cards or d barrier. Really prepared for fire king.over all great list

Notes for Josh and the editor tyl0o, you're doing a good job but if there is anything to improve on this video, more than the contents, is the visuals. I will be a bit "harsh", but because this is meant to be a YT video, and not a Twitch stream highlight, I would expect as a viewer much more curated content. First, when you zoom in at 1:43... Please just switch back to the full screen cam, we can see the pixelated outline of the circle, it's just not very good to look at. Try to use the screen as best as you can, having only a table with cards on it feels a bit lazy/rushed content. Since it's a dicussion about cards, you could bring up a higher res image of the card we're talking about on screen, maybe with even a graphic with the card's text on screen (This last part is to be studied, because leaving on screen text with no time for the viewer to read is generally bad taste, I am here just to leave food for thought so that you two can further discuss this together) Also please, it would be very helpful to have, at the end of the video, an image that showcases the full deck, and even better, leave the DuelingBook deck link in the description so that everyone can reference it, and add the last set released and last banlist at the time of filming, so that your content can have further archival purposes and it will be much easier for people to reference it in the future. However OCG players found that Larbynth is not a strong opponent vs fire king. Larbynth only has 28.72% win fire king when going second according to Mycard database(48% when go first). Larbynth depends a lot on Different Dimension Ground to defeat fire king, which also banish Larbynth monsters. Maybe TCG situation would be different?

I've played Ikea for a while and I really DON'T like the Unchained package. It's mainly because Escape in particular feels so bad to draw. You either have to bend over backwards to get the rest of the Unchained cards online or you just have a card that's even worse than Driver. It led to quite a few hands that were so much worse when I was playing with it. On a completely different note, I'm surprised by the lack of blowout normal traps in the side. I can understand the lack of Eradicator, but I really think DDG is good for stopping almost all Snake Eye Fire King plays.

Like the other reply said, I like to use art sleeves and then just different over sleeves. Dragon shield transparent are pretty common over sleeves and I used them for a while but I also really like using Broccoli over sleeves that I get from amazon jp. Honestly a lot of the yugioh art sleeves are really cool and as long as you're oversleeving you don't have to worry about how fragile they are.

Been testing Lab for a while now. TY for showing the unchained line. In MD I've been using it with performapal five-rainbow magician. Its not only good vs SHS but its also randomly good vs other stuff. Did you tested Ariane lines? Did you tried

Not ironically this is the list that im using to climb on db (im at 1200 points right now) the only differents thing are that i play Ariane that is really good with rollback and with the new trap she will become a must have imo, i only play 1 arias e 2 lady and i cutted out daruma because i dont feel that in really need that card to win with the unchained stuff in the deck anyway you dont really need crossout in deck because with engine going first u can easly beat ash and belle with arias or a good combination of card

The deck has so many way to loop resources and search. Card advantage in this case is vastly superior. For this reason it becomes an ash magnet, which this deck wants activated before big welcome if at all possible anyway.

The deck needs card advantage more than digging the right card, since you can access to the right lab card(s) for 90% of time (e.g: you have 3 big welcome and 9 other cards to access it).

lab really is a strange deck. your out here playing 10 real traps and try to do monster combo but somehow this really is a trap deck through and through. that just shows how awful the idea of trap cards has become over the years when the one trap deck basically does what every combo deck does and just searched the in archetype trap card, the only difference being that you do that more than once

I personally think rollback is trash , requires your opponent to have a trap to copy hence dead card, Sure it can be discarded to graveyard but it meh. I understand it stops ash and belle but its stiill trash.

It copies the effect of another normal trap in your graveyard. That's the only reason why you would want it in the grave.

Runick is fine and eventually will be optimized for Fire Format. The issue is Bystials doing nothing as interruption (banishing diabel, IP or linkuriboh is meh) while also exclusively requiring your own gy as a resource.

It's the top deck on Bologna (3/8) only lose against Joshua Bystial Runick and mirror match. But it's shit on this format because Fire King doesn't care about it. It can still steal a win from FK if in the post game one they draw/search the out (Soul Release/Different Dimension Ground)

This is literally one of the most difficult decks to play. The amount of time that has to be invested in this deck to play it at such a high level is the reason why it isn't the highest representation. But incredibly skilled players have consistently topped with it

Great video overall but it'd be nice to see some explanations of what cards do. I understand not explainig obvious cards like Big Welcome and such, but not having amy description of cards like The Black Goat Laughs is a little annoying for someone who just wants to listen to a video.
