So glad to see Skill Drain in this deck. Absolutely broken. Like running Deck Lockdown in Melodious due to them never searching or summoning from the deck asides from Refrain, Couplet and 1st Movement, the amount times I have won matches throughout testing White Forest is insanely high. If you Skill Drain and then proceed to Ash or handtrap any of their crucial plays, it is almost game over. White Woods is, imo still a glass cannon, but when it goes off it can go off pretty hard. Funny how something like Skill Drain can be so overlooked in many other White Forest builds.

03:46 where there is a way there is a will is better option then prosperity maybe , couse u can use it , n then get rid of it for white forest monster effect before opponent can use it, n u get to keep extra deck

i agree if it's for going 2nd. going first, i still want to be able to reach my white forest starters and pot of prosperity are both good going 1st and 2nd. besides, i think banishing 3 most of the time should be enough. usually you banish generic things like typhon, zapper fish, omega, appo, etc if you are not using it.

@seantyexdee yeah I meant for going 2nd ofc , I m gonna get them 2 , they seem pretty good , n the fact u can special summon any spellcaster tuner is crazy

​@@seantyexdeeif u want more consistency try piri reis map instead of pot of prosperity. It searches for the lv2 wf monsters for only the cost of half your life points 👌

@@Tristanzabinski non-engine slots because everyone and their mothers are running handtraps. I think that my approach for this deck has changed. I’d rather play board breakers or cards like droplet/eclipse/thrusts for this deck and side board in HT for specific matchups

Can you explain not playing emblema oath? Is it not needed?

emblema oath locks you into centurion, so if you open embelma, it feels really bad. also, primera is a light spellcaster tuner, so astellar can summon her straight up without having to go through the oath. it is definitely not needed in this build but if you decide to play a larger centurion package with the atria (the new one), maybe its needed but then again, the pure focus of this build is on the WF engine

@@seantyexdee you are almost never using emblema to place a cent monster in the S/T zone, you're using it to set a Cent S/T (Stand-Up) which then places trudea without locking you. You 100% should be playing Emblema at 3 with or without the new cent tuner!

@@xuyang6013 more of a player preference really, i like a higher hand trap count in this meta, also the wf engine can access the centurion by making auxila searching the field spell already, thus i dont need the oath. if you play a heavier centurion build, then yes. but i dont think it is necessary in this build to be able to put up the boards that you want. you can still calamity lock people, even nib proof yourself with asteria + toy box/soldier, so i prefer having a way to beat the snake eye player going 2nd as well

​@@seantyexdee Oath only locks you as long as a card with the name you placed is in the field + you can place the field spell. In my testing Oath is absolutely one of the best cards to extend you plays against a hand trap format. I recommend testing it. In my list I still have 16 slots for hand traps. Keep it up!
