I helped pave the area in front of the national gallery some 29 years back, this was during the pedestrianisation of the northern terrace. I took immense pride and care in my work and have fond memories of the place. It was only sullied by a young black man who decided to walk over my freshly laid work and being upset because I chastised him. His firm threatened to pull off site unless I was sacked, needless to say I stayed. They simply don’t have the respect and seemingly the pathetic attitude of these committees don’t respect our heritage and history, but create offensive “so called art”!

In Melbourne Australia, prior to Australia day which the left deem "invasion day" every year claiming that it's a celebration a genocide, this year they cut off a statue we have of Captain James Cook at the ankles and pushed it over then vandalized another statue of queen Victoria. Nobody has been charged that I'm aware of. They even vandalized the homes of people who dared to display an Australian flag on their property for the day. The media were too afraid of condemning the acts for fear of looking like they were standing in defense of Australia day and subsequently being deemed racist... Enough of this "we can't" attitude. It's very depressing to see our history and heritage being downplayed and destroyed. However, let's not despair, as when the pendulum of history once again swings back from insanity to where we are now, to the sanity as we once knew. These abominations and triumphalist sculptures and designs will be critical in reclaiming our national identity. Without the Berlin Wall and it's destruction, the collapse of the East German regime would not have been as nearly dramatic and impactful. When Britons reclaim their destiny, the symbolic removal and erasure of these monstrous pieces of work will be our announcing that we're back and the years of shame are at an end.

My local park has started to put up strange memorial plaques commemorating unknown names of african origin and natural disasters that have not happened on these shores. As Simon would say, this is very odd. For instance, they planted six trees with a plaque to say that this is to remember the Turkish/Syrian earthquake. Another instance is of a children's garden which is named after a turkish boy who was killed in a protest in Turkey. President Erdogen called him a terrorist. The boy has no connection to the UK. Just a few days ago there were three more trees planted and more plaques. This is what the plaques say; 'In celebration of babies born on 6th May 2023, Day of King Charles III's coronation, this tree is dedicated to Emmanuella Kehinde Olagbami'. The other plaque has the same message but names Emmanuel Taiwo Olagbami'. Reducing the historical timeline of the crowning of monarchy to a happenstance sandwiched inbetween the legends of two african children. Why? The only memorial until recently in the park was dedicated to a local boy, who as a soldier won the VC serving his country. Now we have turkish terrorists and earthquakes on other continents! The park used to be the only place that was unchanging. It was Englishness in all it's glory. Now the local bowling club has a stencil image on the outside wall of a fat black woman holding a bowling ball queuing to get in. There are no black people in the bowling club and that's one of it's many charms. They also have a picture of a coloured kid with a skateboard queuing to get into the bowling club. The thing is, parks are open to everyone, trees and lakes, ponds, fields, wetlands, avenues of trees, the sky above you, the wildlife, the children's playground, etc. It doesn't discriminate. The truth is, the only time you'll see ethnic parents en masse taking the kids there is when the funfair turns up for two weeks every year.

I was in Trafalgar square 2 weekends ago to visit the national gallery. I have access to many cameras around the Westminster area and all I can say is Trafalgar Square now resembles a council yard, with stockpiles of scaffolding,staging screens , platforms all stored to one side behind Harris fencing with the usual hiviz numpty guarding it.
