Ryan Graves IS an untradeable asset, but let's not sit here and act like you didn't agree with the move at the time, Frank. Of course, anyone can speak in hindsight and say "oh look how bad he did", after some of the moves Dubas made did not work out, but you would have done the EXACT same thing if you were in his shoes at the time and I can prove it: - You had Ryan Graves at #6 on your Top 50 Free Agents list (#3 defenseman on your list, by the way). You predicted him to get $5.1 million and he got $4.5 million from Dubas. - You had Michael Bunting at #5 on your Top 50 Free Agents list. Dubas went and acquired him in the Guentzel deal, as part of a large package, for a pending UFA, that wasn't likely to re-sign in Pittsburgh anyways, even if they did keep him post-TDL. - You had Tristan Jarry at #11 on your Top 50 Free Agents list (#1 goalie on your list, by the way) . You predicted him getting $4.8 million, very close to what he actually got. None of these moves, at the time, would have seemed like a bad move to you, but of course now it's "horrible moves, Dubas should have known better". Absolute clown antics on your part.

Correct. Seravelli has no credibility in claiming Dubas failed when he is taking a hindsight opinion. Only time I think Seravelli predicted a problem was in the Karlsson trade.

How a team plays in front of the goalie is Huge, if your defense is poor, your goalies a sitting duck, goalies are the ultimate scapegoat or hero.

totally. avs dubas ruined the D with graves, gryz and ek then tosses an average goalie behind them.

Frank, as a non Philly fan, what are your thoughts on Zamula? I've been eyeing him as a trade target and just wanted to gather your thoughts on if he would be available?

Agreed why is Dubas immune he sucks
@jfkst119 сағат бұрын
PIT needs to rebuild and Dubas hasn't been good but still has five more years left on the deal. But Dubas was part of the front office in TOR that had a rapid rebuild. The Tavares signing is most definitely not the issue in TOR.

sorry but JT was the BIGGEST issue because it was a position we had filled already for a much lower price and jtb screwed the nyi and the three young guys decided they were better and wanted the same money.

You guys need to watch the Penguins games before you start making comments. You clearly are completely out of touch, both of you. I understand when you’ve supported a team who hasn’t won a Stanley Cup since 1967 that you’re bitter, but really!

I've been saying this since 2018 guys. Toronto fans fight me on it avs now penguins fans do. I don't know how on earth they think Dubas has even the foggiest idea of how to build a team. Points; Bunting was one out of a good 10-15 players dubas signed. His throw shit at the wall and some will stick method isn't impressive. Anyone can do that. Two third round picks for giordano was his best trade. Jake Mcabe for a first is reasonable. Getting a first off Pitts for Kapanen was reasonable. The rest? well he gave away six first rounders, one for an ROR rental to win us one round against a broken and tied Tampa. Lostb players: Mason Marchment, Conor Brown-cup finalist, Kadri-cup winner, Durzi, Mckhelleny, Mcan,moore -32 goals for LA last year. Jack Campbell. ?!?! Peter Mrazek?!?!? Gareth Sparks?! Samsonov?!? Murray?!??! So WHY does anyone in Pitts think it would be different there????? In his first press conference, he didn't know when Sid's contract was up and he had been in Pitts for three weeks. Hev talked about how nice everyone was and how his wife loved the city. ?!?! Graves Smith EK Jarry Gryzlek from 1 point out of the playoffs to way way way far out of the playoffs. most goals against in the league. I've never seen such a poor record walk around with millions of dollars in pocket and with a free pass in 50 years of watching hockey. I said it from May 2018, the guy doesn't know how to build a team. He's just ripped any trade value right out of Jarry. Traded his best Third line defensive rei way centre away for nothing and that on a team with no defence. He should have played Jarry and traded him along with another player for a solid defender. And now he puts petterson on the block? he's the only guy who can play any defence at all! on a team with the most goals against. it's shocking.

can't figure out if they think the jarry signing was good or bad. Lots of contradictions between these two throughout this video.
@FlyboyEz318 сағат бұрын
Frank was scathing with how Jarry was handled. He detailed various context that supported and potentially could contradict Dubas and his overall management record. There was lots of detail and context but he wasn't a fan of Dubas offering the extension to Jarri, only to waive him and lose all potential gains. Frank also condemned Dubass for making Jarri the scapegoat since their defense was bad due to other roster moves. None of the other goalies are proven or much better, so its puzzling why he treated Jarri like an absolute scapegoat. Ned has no better of stats, and Blomquist isn't proven.

These two clowns don’t know theirs ass from a hole in the ground. Jarry and Graves contract year numbers were good enough to give those contracts… Some hit and some miss … Atleast he tried … and Karlsson deal gets done 10 out of 10 times … Reilly Smith was a great trade but Smith was a baby and didn’t wanna be in Pitt. If you guys had a clue you’d be running a team …. Frank couldn’t even keep his gig on TSN
