I'm actually a Cap Sun with Mars in a Virgo stellium, but I feel like this explained a lot of my comfort with Mars, especially helping me understand why I'm drawn to characters like Pan and other tricksters ( Loki, Coyote, Raven, Kokopeli, etc) it also felt like this could describe some of the more focused and creative times in my life. Im certain if I looked back that Mars would be in Capricorn at those points.

You didn’t say it in this video, but you have said previously that Saturn is the ruler of feigned appearances. That came to mind when you were specifically speaking of Jerry Lewis and Jim Carrey and their slap stick, body contorting, in particular facial expressions they embody in the characters they have played. Interesting. Jerry Lewis was known for cutting people out of his life quite ruthlessly, his children and frenemy dean martin, who had a Capricorn moon.

I'm a Cap Mars in the 8H and I'm reveling and thriving during this Mars in Cap transit (it's made for me!). Glad to know I'm in good company with some artists and philosophers. The information you provided described me accurately. I feel like I have more Martian energy within me (I also have an Aries NN 11H), so I'm very masculine even though my dominant energy is (according to some other astro system) Jupiter (my MC), followed by Mercury. It's interesting you pointed out certain qualities in Jim Carrey. Capricorn is associated with the sea goat. Jim has been in discussed on social media for awhile now because of his references to spirituality (also references on his beliefs) but also for maybe being a Satanist due to his comments about self-worship and self-beliefs. which kind of reminded me of the Devil card in tarot cards, as Capricorn energy is associated with the said card. Bit of a far reach that I'm going with on my comment about Jim but the connection seems to fit (at least in my mind). Maybe its the Cap Mars energy that people are picking up on when he speaks on such subjects. I certainly notice it, especially when he talks about pursuing an artistic career.

Capricorn transits are definitely lighting up the Jupiter in cancer square Venus, mars, and Pluto in libra natal. Specially, what I’m reading is defining monism, so it’s taking topics of duality (symbolized by mars, cutting, division) and explaining how there isn’t division. I actually use these arguments and I’ve been explaining that in a very timid way as the political season is ramping up. Some applies to astrology and this isn’t using astrology itself. Let’s say you read a chart by personality, an individual will view it as free will. That same chart with a traditional lens describes a deterministic view where that free will appears more imposed, yet, it’s the exact same thing. More recent, it describes 4 stages of development and with politics 2 forms of arrested development appear that have the same unity. Potential trigger warnings, Its subjective. If you listen to two opposing ideologies and actually think about them unbiased, you’ll find contrary beliefs within both that actually support one another despite their opposition and how that happens. An example is listening to independent media where they argue positively towards Trump despite Trump actually being a failure at everything he’s attempted (including being President). They’ll argue freedom while giving up all freedom to an authority figure uncritically. What Trump does well which works in politics is presenting himself as such an authority figure. The other is social institutions and organizations relative to perceived peers or collective ideas, despite these institutions being the same failures, blind and uncritical trust is put into them. Both, seeming different, are the same since one is an authoritarian individual representing an organization and the other is an organization made up of authoritarian individuals. Those are the 2 lowest levels. 3 is higher in that it’s thinking, contemplating concepts and the highest is intuition which is extremely difficult. It’s sort of like how planets have a meaning that is a unified whole of divinity, but once it’s in a chart it becomes more individualized which becomes a concept, but intuition is above the conceptual with no ties. Yet, those ties to the individual play the part of equal importance. Natal Venus in libra is looking at mars in libra which rules spirit all “ugh, I really hate you right now.” This isn’t going to be a very socially pleasant topic as explaining it just slightly off can bring a lot of 😡. This actually ties into what many astrologers refer to as “shadow work” and it’s in great detail. The controversial part with religion and monism isn’t as bad. You can argue “spirit” is a small aspect of god that’s within us (intuition) and just describe it as the NSA instead of the understandable angle where people declare themselves god. If lot of spirit signifies intuition, as soon as it’s placed in a degree, it’s actually more individualized than universally connecting so you still can’t make that claim. Thats referred to as egoism. The goal is to be of service to better the world and the individual interests need separated or else its self serving service at the expense of others you’re trying to help. That’s why intuition is so difficult to explain. Mars in Capricorn = divisive topics and monism. 🧚‍♂️

I listened carefully to all this. My daughter has Mars in Capricorn and has contorted her body by means of anorexia. It doesn’t help that she has a Scorpio ascendant, opposite a NN in Taurus, and a sun in the 12th house. Her watery Pisces moon renders her helpless in coming to terms with this crisis. I struggle to see any solutions in her chart, best I can do is wait for the energies to shift…she’s a grown woman and is in charge of her destiny. We’ve sought counseling for her but to no avail. It’s heartbreaking but I continue to believe something will come in to change this course of events. Thank you Adam for your enlightening videos.

​@jaimebrooks51 there are plenty of close-minded people who read all kinds of things and who also study astrology... no offense. Actors frequently embody the archetypes seen in their charts in the major roles they play, and thinking there would be no connection between life and career altering roles and stories played in film and the patterns of the birth chart, imo, is just ignorant. As Richard Tarnas has frequently pointed out, and dozens of highly esteemed archetypal astrologers have pointed out, artists frequently represent their charts in their artwork... its sort of baffling to me that there is a subset of people who consume astrology that think it would be otherwise, it strikes me as an incredibly irrational stance for anyone studying the lives and charts of artists or historical figures...again no offense to you personally, it's just not a point of view that appears at all reasonable to me...like what is the rational argument you are making as to why a charts' archetypes wouldn't express themselves in the creative artwork of an artist??
