The reason his pauses annoy people is because your mind isn't getting its expected reward from excitement and new information at the pace it 'wants' to feed on. Your mind is controlling you. You learned when young to talk at a certain pace as to fit in with the collective ego, and at some point your ego began to inflate beyond the point you could even control your own mind from thinking and it takes up all of your attention! There is no attention left for being aware. You didn't choose to absorb the worlds pain, consciousness chose to create your form to experience itself through - positive or negative (they don't exist in true spiritual terms). You can say we are here on purpose or an accident, really the only influencing factor on what you choose is if consciousness decides for your form to evolve and accept the limitations of your ego and that it cannot understand that we are all one. Considering everyone is consciousness, you know this deep down. You just aren't paying enough attention to it, and are out of balance between spiritual and physical realms. Having free will is allowing consciousness to flow through you and not resisting it and thinking of yourself as just determined physical matter, because humans are both physical and spiritual. Your ego fragments you off as an individual, unable to recognise your attention is now just a hazard scanning system than mostly hyperfocuses on pain/fear than seeing the whole picture. Just like most people at this time of evolution, you look around and it seems normal yet your body is telling you something isn't. If you think evolving with ego is working, we killed 180 million of our own species between 1900-2000 and most of your problems will have been caused by your ego feeding on other peoples ego, your parents pain, societies pain, schools of other children effected by the same egoic parents. Pain carries through generations like this and it's getting to melting point. Why this happens to some people and not others is unknown to humans. It's beyond our evolution, if we ever are to know at some point. It isn't a problem, consciousness done this through ego, it has its use as evolving itself through pain. Why? The intelligence that moves everything in the universe only knows. Talking too quickly, which is normal for most, doesn't allow you to be as present and your attention gets completely taken up by thought. Most people who watch this will be super stimulated by it then not be able to go deeper because the motivation isn't there yet. Pain will eventually give you that motivation. So you don't need to worry about it. But you will I guess, since you haven't fully realised what the purpose of pain is. Now notice that the speed you expect Eckhart to talk at is probably the speed of your own thoughts and the speed of everyone elses words coming out their mouth. You can undo all this mental conditioning by meditating or getting help to be in a position to have the intensity of motivation needed to break through the walls your ego has put up to prevent you from controlling your attention fully. It might takes years, but the thing you must be aware of is you will get there as consciousness has chosen your form to evolve itself. You are at a stage of human evolution where the self-destruction of our species might be around the corner, and at the time more people than ever have access to spiritual pointers through the internet and more people than ever learning to read etc. Consciousness wants you to evolve, look throughout history. Just know that, and either progressively or immediately (in rare cases) get there.

I've been struggling so much lately trying to figure out why we are here and why humans do the things that they do. No one wants to work together everybody wants to hate nobody wants to care for each other everybody wants to kill. We go to war , we suffer ,we try to cure certain sicknesses but get killed for it , we see beauty of the world and sometimes ignore it and go about our lives like mindless robots. I feel strongly in my heart that there's a bigger purpose to life that and it has nothing to do with how rich you are or how famous you can get. Idk there's so much on my mind ugh wish our existence was shaped into something. Perfect. Guess we're just going to live on with our daily lives just to make money and pretend this is it. Nobody wants to put our resources together as human beings and try to reach for something bigger for ourselves and future Generations , nobody wants to reach "for the stars" literally and the guys on the "high chairs" are stuck up with their heads so far up their asses that they just sit back and let power and money eat away at their brains. Our existence has to be more than this 💯 I refuse to believe this is it.

We humans are neural beings and our past is connected to our present and our future expectations are created by our present feelings. It is great to experience moments of stillness as a practice that recovers the hastiness of thoughts and behavior compulsiveness bringing them to some form of equilibrium, but I think that a person who has a lot to cope with in life and a person who is deluged by horrible news all around can hardly maintain this state of being so present NOW and being free from worries.

The ' Theory of Now' is true but it cannot encompass all the diverse matters in it.... it would require million other theories to actually perceive most matters .. this theory is only applicable in Meta-physics & it's essence is in philosophy which is great ... & nothing to do with any other field of knowledge or it's application in it...
@vnluc1239 жыл бұрын

+Muhammad Salman maybe some other lifetime for you to truly understand this.Until then stay goodm do good, and love all
@davealbrecht129 жыл бұрын
+Muhammad Salman ....Hi Muhammad, I think Eckhart would agree with you. In the Power of Now he talks about that there's all this stuff in life like learning to become an engineer or a social worker or whatever and of course one needs a special knowledgde for that. You don't become a stockbroker (or whatever you want to be) just by being present. Also Eckhart says that therapy or physical excercise can be very beneficial. The point is when you are aware you become better at what you are doing and you bring more awareness to the people with whom you engage.
@davealbrecht129 жыл бұрын
+sachin sharma ....I think it's strange that you say he needs another lifetime to understand it. Eckhart wrote it in his book, I also explained. That's the bad side of the newage world: when one asks critical questions one is dimissed as being not ready for it. Who are you to judge. His question is perfectly valid and if you don't have the means to explain it clearly than don't condescend. Einstein said: If you can't explain it simply you probably don't understand it yourself. Peace.
