I was beginning to wonder if the storms I've seen on TV had got to you. And then a video from you popped up in my notifications. I immediately jumped over to watch. Nice to see the deer and hear your voice. Hope things a going to be very good for you in this New Year. I was in the hospital yesterday. They chopped off part of my right big toe. Somehow, I got a blister on the end, and it got infected. With the holidays and all it took a while to get in the docs and the hospital. Now I have to wear one of those clunky shoes for a while. Hurts like the dickens. But I am glad that it is over and it heals soon. I am glad to hear you are starting the new year doing OK. You are in my thoughts everyday.

@@ChiefAUS oh no big toe! You know it’s a law that you have to hit it on a chair leg or bed frame at least once a day? ☺️ I hope not. We have had nonstop storms around here. This last one was supposed to be ice but it was rain and I dumped the rain gauge today and we got over 1 1/2 inches of rain. I’m glad that didn’t freeze. Sorry to hear about your toe. Hope it heals fast. I can’t imagine how bad that must hurt 🥹 I didn’t make any videos because I was stuck in do nothing mode. I didn’t want to do a negative complaining video about the crappy weather because I know it’s way worse north of me. So I was waiting on something positive to come along and they finally showed up. 🥰 I’m learning a new way of life, slow going but I will get there.

@@WillowsGarden I am so glad we did not get the ice we were supposed to get. I think seeing the deer is a good sign. I look for them everyday and I saw them and the sun today so it is a good ending for the week. The bank situation might get complicated but it will work out the way it supposed to. I hope it doesn’t take them as long as it took the SSA to fix my issue. Hope your snow goes away quickly. ☺️

@@ladyhawthorne1 that trucking life seems so long ago. My stories would not make sense to this new technology world of trucking. But when it gets warmer and I can get outside and I am going to clean up my greenhouse and start over. I let everything die after Brad passed away. I just couldn’t get interested in anything. Wanting to be a functioning person is starting to show up again. When happy gets here hopefully I will start making videos again. Hugs to you

I just went and looked at pictures of the Shetland Islands. Beautiful! I would love to see your part of the world. I used to be subscribed to a KZbin channel that was about Iceland. It was videos of him driving around and it was so beautiful. I guess we all want to see places that are so different and beautiful than where we live. I would love to go to Ireland too. Maybe in another life ☺️

Good to hear from you. Strangest holidays ever. It’s like they didn’t happen. I’ve been too busy trying to keep my water from freezing. All I can remember of it is shoveling snow coal and ashes. And chopping on the frozen tree that fell across my driveway. Woodpeckers had been working on that tree for a few years. I thought for sure it was going to fall into the woods. But it fell right across the driveway and was blocking the coal truck’s access.. It was infected with emerald ash borers and grew like one big knot. I have avoided my chainsaw because I was too dizzy to use it safely after my doctor zonked me. After wailing on that frozen thing for forty minutes with a sharp axe , and not getting a heart arrhythmia, I figured it was time to fire up the saw. Then, I thought “I haven’t bought gas for six or seven years!” No gas. So….. I chopped and prayed and chopped and prayed. I got it out of the way just in time to get my coal the day before the weather got nasty. Then then snowplow demolished my mailbox. Twice! I ,somehow, got the mailbox back together and the door back on. I was so pooped out that I didn’t realize it was New Year’s day until it was half over and my brother called. He just had triple bypass surgery. We can have Holidays next year when things settle down. BTW, the local deer turned up at my place day before yesterday. It looks like they were having a convention for all the tracks and “fertilizer”. I’m looking forward to your report on a new electric chainsaw. Hang in there.

@@chopsddy3 You have been a very busy person. That’s a lot going on. Hope it gets easier for you. We haven’t had any ice here but they are talking about it in the future. When the rain moved in the temperature went above freezing so we were blessed. A couple hours north of me got a lot of snow. They said we were going to get an inch of ice and I was glad we didn’t. I would rather have snow than cleaning up after an ice storm. I’m praying your water problems get better. The holidays were hard to deal with and I am glad they are over. You are in my prayers.

@@bctruck You are in mine also. I was worried when I saw that arctic wave drop all the way down to Texas. I think the weather news is starting to exaggerate the forecasts to worry us with the intent of making us tune back in with the hope of relieving our anxiety. Keep up with the praying. The fact that my pipes didn’t freeze yesterday when the forecasted temperature was almost 10 degrees colder than expected indicates to me that miraculous activity is at play. It was 3 degrees when I got up yesterday. The way they were talking ,I had visions of you snowed in without power. I’ve reached the conclusion that they can’t predict much beyond three days with any dependable accuracy. It’s 18 degrees right now and it feels like a heat wave. It’s supposed to go above freezing next weekend after a few days that will have high temperatures of 15 degrees. I’m running my coal burner at max temperature and running every electric device that produces heat. My electric bill broke records this month. Thinking Spring.

Have noticed, on national weather reports, how often your area is being hit with some form of bad weather. Your bout of bad weather reached us last night. Snow, sleet and freezing rain. The first measurable snow we've had in well over 1,000 days according to local weather folks. Thankful, the the snow was light and hopefully it will be gone tomorrow. Melting pretty fast today. Hope you're past or soon will be past what winter usually offers in your area. Looking forward to seeing your spring projects. Thanks updates on your furry friends and for showing the deer. A few years ago deer around here were hit with a bad disease. Deer population still hasn't fully recovered. It became rare to see them. Hope you have many blessings in the coming year. It’s usually just cold and a few warm days. They got ice and lots of snow just to the north of me. All we got was rain just above freezing. They are predicting another chance of ice and snow about 10 days from now. I hope they are wrong again. I am so thankful for the sun today. I really am not a winter person. I have been waiting for something to happen around here to give me something to video. So I guess I am blessed. I haven’t even been anywhere. I have been walking to the pharmacy and dollar store when it’s not raining. I finally got all of the SSA stuff behind me as of yesterday and I’m glad that’s over with. Maybe we will have some sunshine for a few days. It’s supposed to be 60 degrees Friday. I hope they are right.

@@bctruck Glad you're able to be out and about, despite the weather! That's a big positive! Here we've still got a long ways to go. Often, over the years, we've had snow in late March. Average last frost is around mid-April. Thankful you're got the SSA straightened out. One more worry lifted off your shoulders. Hope the bank problem is relatively easy to resolve. @@oldtimerlee8820 It doesn’t sound good. I had to tell them Brad had passed away. They called and wanted to speak to Brad because I was trying to transfer money from to account to another. They assured me nothing would change. It didn’t for about 10 minutes. I had to sign in under my name because I had been banking under his name when I would sign in. They cancelled everything that I was paying through his online banking. I finally got signed in with my name and all the account information disappeared. Hopefully they will figure this out. I only have his debit card and I think they turned it off. I have decided to give it to the Lord and forget about until Monday and go to the bank and get this straightened out. By then I’ll be over my anxiety about this and it will be just another day in my new normal. ☺️

@@bctruck Just prayed that our Lord will be with you as you get this straightened out. If the bank doesn't already have it, take a copy of Brad's Death Certificate with you when you go to the bank. I had to do that several times to get my better half's name off of some accounts & utility bills. God Bless.

The most I have seen around here has been two babies with the mama. My car has the right rear wheel locked up, weather turned cold that day and I haven't been able to check it out. So I've been driving my pickup. Until I started to town and blew the lower radiator hose! I patched it with duct tape and a hose clamp. But now with the snow and sub freezing weather, I don't know when I'll be able to fix it correctly - if the block does not freeze and bust!!
