Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic businesses and Government faced the need to solve multiple,competing priorities simultaneously. One of the toughest: how to keep an economy going while at the same time shutting it down to protect citizens from infection. As some regions emerge from the worst of the health Crisis, it’s tempting to think that there could be a return to focusing on just one main concern. But this week, Expert Christiana examined sectors,particularly defense and national infrastructure,where solving for dual imperatives is more important than ever. Defense forces,which typically..

Nice contents you all put up 👍,BTC is a new bullish price as people increased their bids,as we can all see now the market is very unstable,the truth is that you can always make more profit from trading rather than just hodlin and waiting for the price of BTC to Skyrocket.indeed it’s a tough decision for both old and newbies whose intentions are just to sell but rather the potential of trading.I wept deeply and prayed after the last time I had much loses,my Uncle introduced me to an Expert Christiana,who I started trading with since late last year,I’ve covered up and made over 21 BTC with 2 BTC even with the ups and downs since the journey. With the Christiana’s counsel I no longer have to worry about the rise and dip of Bitcoin .

This is the very piece of information I've been seeking out. Thank you so much for sharing useful resources. Recently I've come to realize that there's still so much work to be done after all these years of learning English to bridge the gap between the state of 'being familiar with' and that of 'being in control of'. This drags me down so badly from time to time but I won't stop putting in the work to reach fluency. I'd deeply appreciate it if you could make more lessons or videos on articles!

As my specific knowledge in English language learning , I could say an example: Animals are fast at running , the leopard is fastest" or leopard is the fastest" Is that correct Adam and guys? anyways thanks for this lesson it was useful 👍 and have a nice day everyone
@jjaus3 жыл бұрын
English speaker here. You would be perfectly understood, but I would say it this way. "Of the animals that are fast runners, the leopard is the fastest". Don't know if that helps. PS the cheetah is the fastest. 😁
@Zach43323 жыл бұрын
@@lina_adventures For “the leopard is fastest”, “the” is used because the sentence is talking about a certain type of animal (aka the leopard). For “leopards are fastest” (which is also correct, but not as precise), it is implied that you are talking about leopards as a whole/leopards as a species. For the deaf, we are talking about a specific group of people (deaf people), so a school for the deaf uses “the”.
@Zach43323 жыл бұрын
@@lina_adventures Deaf one of those weird English exceptions. You are correct, “deaf” is already a specific group of people (deaf people). But in addition to that, “deaf” can also refer to the deaf community at large. Think of it as “school for the deaf community” instead of “school for deaf people”. In addition to this, deaf is also both an adjective and noun! Even as a native speaker, it was confusing thinking this through. I hope that clears it up. If you want more clarification I can help. The English in your comment was exceptional, by the way. I am learning French right now, so I understand it is definitely a big task learning and mastering a language.

Thank you, Adam! A question: isn't the word "modern" a qualifier for the abstract word "technology" (on your first slide), which can allow us to write "the modern trchnology"?
@isabellac.81553 жыл бұрын
I was going to ask the same question
@bananaforscale12833 жыл бұрын
If we replace "modern" with "future" we'll get: "future technology" vs. "the technology of the future". So the only difference is the grammatical form. I guess it's about being qualified but in the sense of grammar, as if "future technology" is a one unit.
@maryamrahimian56093 жыл бұрын
My question too
@mehdishariat77123 жыл бұрын
You need to ask yourself: if I say "the modern technology", do I mean "a specific type of modern technology"? or a specific type of technology"? Consider a hierarchy that moves down like this: "technology" >> "modern technology" >> "a piece of modern technology (cellphone). "The" usually refers to the one at the bottom.
@Zach43323 жыл бұрын
Native speaker here, yes this is a confusing situation. “The technology of today is changing society.” is correct, however “The modern technology is changing society.” is usually incorrect. Because “technology of today” is specific type of technology, “the” is used. Because “modern technology” is a large category of technology, “the” cannot be used. It works the same way with “The technology of the future”, and “Future technology”. If you are talking about a specific type of technology, use “the”. If you are talking about technology as a whole at some point in time, then do not use “the”.

There is a valid reason to use the definite article in sentences such as "The lion is a fierce animal" and "The whale is the largest mammal." The use of the definite article "the" in the sentence "The lion is a fierce animal" serves to emphasize the lion as a representative of its species or as a conceptual archetype. The emphasis lies not on a particular individual lion but on the lion as a general, recognized entity. Emphasis on Representation: "The lion" suggests a lion as a symbol or embodiment of its kind. It's not just any lion; it's the lion, representing the species as a whole. This usage can be found in discussions or descriptions where the focus is on the characteristics or qualities commonly associated with lions. Emphasis on the Generic Concept: By saying "The lion is a fierce animal," there is an implication that lions, as a category, are known for their fierceness. The definite article, in this case, emphasizes the conceptual idea of a lion as a fierce creature rather than any specific lion. Emphasis on Universality: The use of "the" can also convey a sense of universality. It implies that what is being said about lions applies to lions in general, reinforcing a broader statement about the nature of the species.
