Sorry but crowd control/utility is part of the trinity. DPS characters are the fillers

For classic MMO design, you may be right! But nowadays, utility and cc are almost non-existent as an archetype in new MMOs. DPS has somehow been upgraded to be a part of the trinity. That's why I like to think of EQ as having a quaternity of tank, healer, dps and cc. Utility is less of an archetype and is most notably what enhances a hybrid class, like paladin's stun and heal, druid's buffs and ports and so on.
