Hi new to beyblade my kid just got me into it I've been doing iato and kendo for a very very long time I got the samurai saber for my first beyblade and I was using the launcher the same way I hold my katana's sheath and launching it the the same way I draw my katana and I've been loving it most fun ever but I don't think I need to change my stance or drawing technique but I am starting to add tilted launches into the equation and finding crazy results

just a heads up the string length isn't the only factor. gearing is also a HUGE factor. Ripcord gets like a little over 9 revolutions at full rip-cord length. at the same length the sting gets only roughly 5. over total string length it only gets slightly over 10 revolutions. source, painted one prong white and pulled it and counted on both launchers.
@BladeBeyX3 ай бұрын
Hey! Thanks. Fully aware of this. I’m talking about getting the most powerful string launches you can in the video and all I say is in comparison to ripcord you’ll be able to get more consistency with string. Also if you want to check revolutions you can just look at the top of the launcher and count them the same way the battle pass does. Most string gets between 11-13 revolutions :) Thank you for watching!

The string in a string launcher may be longer than the plastic winder, but the gear ratio is different, so the amount of revolutions the launcher hooks make should be relatively comparable.
@BladeBeyX12 күн бұрын
The original ripcords could only reach a max of 8 revolutions whereas the new extended ripcord can reach 10. This is still below average for string launchers as they’re between 10-14. I still believe string allows for the most consistency.
@ToxicAtom12 күн бұрын
@@BladeBeyX For sure, having such an aggressive gear ratio on the winder launchers means that it takes less change in how you launch to drastically affect how the bey behaves. String launchers are more forgiving in that aspect.

@@ToxicAtom do you use ripcord? If you do what’s your set up?
@ToxicAtom12 күн бұрын
@@BladeBeyX Right now I just use the Samurai Saber launcher as it comes out of the box. I just find forward grips more comfortable than side grips, and the grip being integrated into the launcher adds an extra layer of security that I love. I'll wait for a more accessible long winder or L/R Winder Launcher before I even consider switching. I understand the benefits of string launchers, but winders are just my preference, hand have been since the Burst Long Winder release.

@ashfield43134 ай бұрын
My main question is if this can exceed that of a winder? If it can meet that of a winder then this is a ton more effort and training required to meet it. You should do a side by side test. A winder with the attachable handle, ripping it as hard as you can using your technique versus the String launcher. Then the winder abandoning the focus on conscious control and banking on subconscious hand eye coordination.
@BladeBeyX4 ай бұрын
Hey great question. So I’ve been testing that since beyblade x came out and got my hands on the battle pass to test launch rpm’s. That’s why I’ve settled on string launcher. Just launching hard isn’t going to win you any large tournaments though. Increasing your power with the string launcher is going to allow you to launch more technically and still carry some good rpm with it. I believe what you’re referring to as “subconscious” hand and eye coordination is akin to having a reactive aim and I have techniques for that with winder as well :)
@ParadoX-os2 ай бұрын
It honestly comes down to personal preference. I have full control with the Winder launcher, so a string launcher doesn't really provide me with more control. As much as it takes practice to increase your launch power with string launchers, you could also practice your control with Winder launchers and get better results from my testing.

Amazing application of different areas to construct an advancement for the hobby. I'm stoked to see what else we can discover to make even stronger launches. The only "problem" I could really have with it is only personal: I seem to need to exert more effort with this technique than I do with my standard grip for what seems like no difference in spin strength. Again, this is not to detract from your video, just explaining what my experience with it is - I might even end up using some tips from this video to boost my own standard launch as best I can. My standard grip is the parallel grip, with the grip on the back of the launcher on the back of the launcher, for some reference.

@BladeBeyX4 ай бұрын
To begin with you’re going to be consciously releasing but I’ve got enough reps that I’m consistently pulling the full length of the string and it’s natural to let my fingers slide off the grip smoothly. You’ll still have to ease up your grip though 😅 Thank you!
@o08213 ай бұрын
Very informative and I prefer string launcher as well, but I did feel like an otherwise informative video began with a somewhat disingenuous comparison between string length and rip cord length: just to clear some things up, the ripcord launcher has a double gear ratio so the ripcord is moving against a larger gear which spins the launching prongs 3x per rotation of the larger gear. Basically the ripcord is spinning 3x its physical length as well. Thanks to said gear ratio.
@BladeBeyX3 ай бұрын
Hey thanks for the feedback and sorry if it sounds misleading. The video is about getting the most power from string launchers and I believe I say the longer string length allows for more consistency in power over ripcord. @BladeBeyXАй бұрын
There’s no difference between the TT and Hasbro string launchers bud. The video is about getting stronger launches with string because it’s easier to control for launches and get consistent power readings. The rip cord launcher has a gear multiplier that helps you get a stronger launch but at the same time doesn’t guarantee it. You’ll normally feel like you launch harder on rip cord anyway because of the resistance and feedback it gives. I’d definitely recommend finding out the numbers if you can borrow someone’s battle pass. I just got over 31k with string.
