Correction on her Yunli synergy. Yunli actually has a 240 energy limit while activating her ultimate costs 120 to use. Which means that Huohuo actually restores energy based on the 240 limit while Yunli effectively needs 120 for a single ultimate. This is why their synergy is so great. Huohuo provides significantly more energy per ultimate used for Yunli than for any other character.

It's not all bad using firefly with huo huo.Afrer the first ultimate firefly would need 2 turns to get her ult back since it's only 60% regan.With huo huo,she can pull up a 1 turn ult under certain conditions

Hot Take: Huohuo has the best female design of all the characters in Xianzhou. All the other female characters wear THE SAME DAMN DRESS with the only difference being the colors and accessories. Seriously, it looks like the designers just ran out of ideas and copied and pasted the same design onto everyone and called it a day.

Slight nitpick but her E6 increases DMG by 50% and not ATK, I believe they scale differently and DMG% increases affect all damaging units rather than just the ones who scale on ATK (Such as Blade and Firefly who scale better from HP and BE respectively) So yeah it's even better than a permanent +50% ATK buff

Conversely, you probably wouldn't use her with anything but an atk scaling unit because of her ult. And Firefly doesn't really scale much with dmg% to begin with. It still is worth mentioning, since atk% and dmg% are different multipliers and as such multiplicative, but it's not as relevant as you seem to be implying

Got huohuo when i was pity building. Not complaining tho since now my "3 mommies with a loli" team is complete. Just need to build her first Also forgot to mention, she doesn't work with feixiao because fexiao's ult is similar to acheron unfortunately.

i think the problem with using huohuo with yunli is that you WILL need yunli's signature lc so that yunli can actually get aggro effectively. otherwise, you want lynx or march so they can buff yunli's aggro

Huohuo is cute, and I have her built, but I honestly don't really use her much outside of SU. Either with a dual sustain comp, or when I have that 1 Destruction blessing that makes Abundance characters less of an RNG nightmare

Ok so in terms of rotation, I have this WILD idea. You remember that technique you called @$$? How about you use that, get atk reduction on the enemy while you're still full health and then while you're taking less damage you just don't use her skill? It gives you +1 SP during your general setup, and you're not using her 1.5k+ heal on a character that has taken a whole 1 attack (-25% atk) worth of damage.

Tbh I usually use Huohuo with Black Swan, and sometimes with both BS and Sampo, so Penacony set isn't useless. Also personally I wouldn't recommend Broken Keel unless you really want to run her EVERYWHERE, since most of the time you'd just run her in DoT teams, where the crit dmg is honestly kinda useless

As for futureproofing her, if we get more characters like Argenti, she'd be amazing. Otherwise, it does indeed feel like they're moving away from energy batteries. Tingyun used to be the most busted support in the game, but lately I find myself using her less and less, with dual DPS comps not really benefitting from her as much, and energy becoming less of an issue by virtue of Acheron hypercarry and break meta not really requiring energy all that much, if at all

Of course, comparing her with Tingyun "might be"(read: is) stupid, since Huohuo gives her battery to the whole team even in a dual dps comp, but the point I'm trying to make is that while Ult costs seem to be going up, they also seem to actively be implementing countermeasures against energy being an issue.

Honestly Huo Huo is my favorite, though i surely have absolutely not reached the end game stats, but even so, she is pretty solid and of course i paired her with Argenti since i got both of them in the same patch (god luck that time) and sure i dont have Ruan or Black swan, but even so, she pulls up my Crit damage dealers and my Kafka And its true that the supports like her are difficult to power creep, i just hope that if that happends she doesnt end like the poor Silver wolf, i would still use her, but please that sh*+ cant happend to her

The thing about huo huo isn’t that she’s bad, it’s that she’s not the only one. She has a unique position in the game (energy, speed), but so does every limited sustain character in the game excluding luocha. You can pull for her, and she will help, but for better or for worse, she is not an objectively better pull than fu xuan (crit, damage split) or aventurine (sub dps, shield). This is exacerbated by the presence of gallagher, the 6* healer, who basically makes it so you only need one other sustain character, if any. The issue is that the damage requirements of the game have far outpaced the survival requirements of the game, and you only need enough to keep you alive. That means that even shitty f tier sustainers like natasha and lynx are still perfectly serviceable if you ignore the 20% less damage you deal because of that trade off. Even between high tier sustainers, once you have one, the others are basically a 5% increase for one particular team and nothing else.

I think seeing Huohuo as a wife material is weird... but I'm someone who fell in love at first sight with Yanqing when I saw his 4* lightcone so I can't really judge 'ya. When I learned he was a kid, I went to adopt him instead. If he becomes an adult, I will never be ready- *ehem* Just be wholesome with Huohuo, yeah? Anyway, please make more HSR content!
