just 1 things to add, Genichiro is S tier cause of how well designed it is, if you don't understand basics it might be the hardest fight and vice versa, its also a skill check, and his floating passage combo is the hardest combo to deflect in the entire game, it never gets old, and inner geni takes it to next level. Also lightening deflect is soooooo satisfying

Concur. Genichiro was the boss that felt like a genuine sword-fight rather than a FromSoft boss like the monsters or Isshin did.

Lightning deflect is pretty damn sick! I can def see why folks would put him at S tier, just for me he isnt quite there. I did not fight the Inner bosses tho so when I play again I might change my tune!

Lady Butterfly and Genichiro? Is the only swap I would do as I think many Sekiro fans would only bec? Genichiro is basically a tutorial for how Sekiro is going to be played and the way they executed that with all the counters being invloved as well as the lightning reversal? Its just to smooth to not be a universal S tier. Lady Butterfly is an AMAZING fight? But it does not have all the counters ingrained as the Genichiro fight.

i'd put lady butterfly B tier, True monk S tier, Ishin ashina A tier, Great shinobi owl A tier and also which fromsoft's game do you think is the best?

Fair enough! we will all have our favorites and what bosses we feel are the best. I can easily see True Monk S tier. For me personally Bloodborne is their best work.

Also, A for Divine Dragon seems wild to me especially because since you seem to value difficulty highly

Demon of Hatred is funny cause it's so hard for awhile but once you master it, it stays mastered. Despite learning their attack patterns other bosses can still catch me slipping due to their speed, the camera, me panicking. But the DoH no longer poses a challenge for me

@@user-ib4vp3ju7z that’s awesome you got Demon on lock! I always struggle a bit with him but I can see it becoming one of the bosses on lock because it’s more similar to a Souls boss and all those bosses can be on lock

I dont agree with folding screen monkeys being an AWFUL boss fight. It is meant to be a great gimmick boss fight. A boss fight being good or bad is not determined by how hard it is, but rather by whether it fulfills its role in the story and gameplay properly. If its role is to be a gimmick fight, so be it. The Divine Dragon is a great example of this, it is an awesome fight which is super easy and is meant to be a visual spectacle. I would put monkeys at C, definitely not D or below. Also Genichiro Ashina is the second best boss after sword saint isshin in my opinion. He embodies the massive skill check one expects at that point in the game and is absolutely fun to fight. None of the other bosses match the adrenaline he offers until Isshin (or maybe Owl father) shows up. Lady butterfly is not so good to be in S tier, she may be a B or at most A tier but not higher. She barely has a moveset worth remembering.

I may have not stated in this video but for me personally, difficulty absolutely does factor into how good a boss is (hard for sake of being hard also is bad tho). I just don't really like gimmick fights at all. Fun factor matters to me and this fight is not fun in any way for me. Genichiro I can definitely see being higher. Its a great boss. But both Owl fights imo are still superior. I'm also mega biased for lady butterfly cuz in my 1st playthru she was my first boss and spent forever lol. I respect your opinion tho ofc! its all for fun :)

demon of hatred is my personally my 2nd favorite fight, right behind genichiro, but i can see why so many people hate him

For me it really is because the fight feels pretty out of place compared to the rest of the game in terms of the boss itself. Lorewise its super rad.

I platinumed it not to long ago but the only phase u could skip of the true monk was the second one by going to the highest branch before the shadows spawned, she just sits there and doesn't do anything (favourite boss tied with inner father)
