Not sure how Disney+ scores at the top with their lackluster original content. Can count on one hand the top tier originals they have and they're typically short seasons too.
@sallydavies92533 жыл бұрын
But all its film are technically originals?
@ingloriousmax3 жыл бұрын
@@sallydavies9253 Sorry I guess I meant 'new original programming' that we haven't seen over the past 10-70 years. They do have good content, just not much 'new unseen original' content. Although they are steadily producing it with all of their Marvel series as well as Star Wars right now.
@lantcm6133 жыл бұрын
This year looks to be changing that. We got/gotten WandaVision, Falcon and Winter Soldier, The Bad Batch, Loki, What-if, Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, and the Book of Boba Fett this year alone, while also giving us ways to watch new movies at home, like Cruella, Raya, Shang-Chi, and more later on, even though it sucks you have to pay extra on top of your subscription. With Disneys deep back log of animated and live action shows and movies, plus everything Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars already had, and the prospect of all the future marvel and Star Wars originals that will come after this year, assuming it’ll stay at $7-8 a month, is an amazing deal.

In no particular order: Pay services 1. Prime Video (as part of Amazon Prime membership) 2. Netflix (HD) (fortunately that is subsidized in my T-Mobile plan) 3. HBO Max (ad-free) I have these first three whether or not I am a cord cutter. 4. Paramount + Premium (Premium is more for the local affiliate access than the ad-free benefit (to me)) 5. Peacock Premium (w/ads) 6. Hulu (w/ads) 7. Frndly TV (Classic version, for HD and cloud DVR) 8. FITE (this is a niche one for combat sports) I sprung for annual plans to save money as I don't churn these (but do for certain sports offerings from time to time) Churning is still a good option for many. Netflix is the only one above that does not offer annual plans. Free services 1. Pluto TV 2. Freevee (was IMDB TV) 3. Tubi 4. Xumo 5. Crackle 6. Hoopla 7. Kanopy 8. KZbin (just regular KZbin...some surprising shows/movies in there for free) 9. LocalBTV (offerings can be spotty, but I was able to get a local independent station that has newscasts, and I am way out of range for an antenna)

Learn about plex. You can technically access any non live tv media from any of the services you previously mentioned on plex. It takes your downloaded media and puts it in a Streaming service format. It works on things like phones and game consoles as well. It’s free but there is a paid version, free works great. But you need to know how to “obtain media” (let’s be honest typically not in a legal way) Pros: Service is free/Any shows & movies you choose/works on multiple devices/better quality. Cons: must download the media you want/upfront cost & time. Typically need a few TB of storage if you want an extensive library. Requires a PC that isn’t ancient for setup & hosting.

Netflix & Amazon have never gotten money from cableTV. As more people have left cable/satellite TV over time, the streaming market has gotten big. It’s now big enough that it’s financially worthwhile for the studios to create their own services vs. letting Netflix take a cut.
