The M4 has the fastest ADS in class, IMO the best thing to do is to use a few recoil attachments, so that what you get is identical ADS speed as the other ARs baseline, but way way way better recoil than any of them, which is a more significant advantage. Great with the 3x or 4x sights.

That's definitely a strong way to build it no doubt. XclusiveAce released a video talking about how rapid fire attachments really don't negatively impact recoil much, if it all. So with the, as you said, great recoil I value increasing the DPS output as much as possible. But just my opinion, definitely more than one way to make it work!

@@Aviatordog I think that's been patched out. I tried it once S1 hit on the MDR and the recoil was monstrously higher when I equipped the barrel+booster for fire rate. So it's either that it only applies to specific weapons, or it's been patched out.

Good to know, will have to do more testing because I haven't felt a difference post S1 on the AK and ACR. Thanks for sharing that though! Interested in seeing if they finally did adjust that.
