I think that a fit Buendia last season would have helped push us across the line a few weeks earlier. He definitely has the ability to be our key support striker/no.10 against teams that sit back and make it more difficult to break down. I think the pacey players are the Plan A but having just one or two cute players as the Plan B will be vital this season when teams know that we struggled to do that last season.

He would definitely be a nice option to have in those situations if he can get back to his best form. Teams are likely going to set up to try and stop us based on what we did last season so having a slightly different option could be really handy.

Buendia being overlooked and should add a really great alternative approach off the bench. He can be ideal to unlock a defence and if Duran stays we have another great striker to unleash

you could see the linkup betwen Pau and Maatsen is already well established. i've been describing Maatsen's play as sinister (Latin, "left-sided") which could mean "with evil intent" or "ominous". that touch to Ramsey was magic. love it. UTV

it needs to be said, things change quickly in football. we could possibly see the passing of the baton from Watkins to Duran sooner than we all might expect. is that moment this season? probably not, but...an injury or a precipitous and long-lasting loss of form becomes an opportunity. the important thing is to keep Duran on message, "your time will come, lad, trust the system."

Have to say that rice in itself is clearly the LEAST versatile of the 4, although you can have it with lots of other interesting foods. Think about what you can do with spuds, bread and all the different types of pasta (your lasagnas and raviolis of this world 😂). John needs to give his head a wobble and expand his horizons a bit. Then again, I was obsessed with rice, chicken and broccoli when I was his age and addicted to the gym!! 😅

i would have sold duran,, he has potential but as a forward last season he was poor really and not at the level we really need,, if we were mid table no issues but we need someone now who can lead the line and give olly a rest and thats a tammy or a lukaku type on saturday he just looked fantastic and everything we need now,, i just hope its the start of him becoming a real player

Me personally , and who the f**k am i , would see how Buendia is and if still needed perhaps add the stardust in January. I think squad harmony is just as important and too many players affects that. We have around 6/7 players to choose from for the three behind Watkins and in reality we are prob playing less games than last season with the Conference league qualifiers etc. I would add another defender though for sure.
