The Deliverer(VR) - Sneak Peak #1

The Deliverer is a new Virtual Reality Game I've been working on for the last few months. Although the game is meant to be a very casual one it does include many aspects that I believe embody the VR experience. A few of these are, Rock Climbing, tight rope walking, hang gliding, boat riding, and more!
The game is still very early in development so this is still very much a WIP! There is no set release date for the game yet but I am shooting for Q3-Q4 of 2017.

Wow utterly blown away that you will make this game on your own that looks way better than any other VR game out there right now. Just make sure the music goes well with the graphics and this game may perform really well for a VR game.

Hey man, it looks great!, is there any chance you are willing to do some some sort of gavedev blog about this? Me and a couple of other students are also trying our luck exploring in VR and we really don't have that much experience in Unreal. Just when it comes to the technical apspects of level design, Lightmass, LOD's, Polycounts etcetc. I have tried my luck searching for these in a VR perfective but really haven't found any. It woulöd be so cool if you took a day or 2 writing about these topics for a gang of students trying to learn. all the best Johan

The GodRay is just a simple blueprint Epic Made a while ago, the clouds are just a simple curved mesh with a translucent material applied.

I'm currently running a 980TI and getting perfect 90FPS in VR, This may change but atm I'm shooting for minimum spec to be a 970.

I have a quick question, how do you make a wind effect? ( in this case for like a desert landscape) P.s Like in your older videos

There is a number of ways you can do it, if your just wanting it to look like wind is blowing sand along the ground you should probably do it in the shader for the actual landscape. Youd also probably want to get some actual vfx mixed in as well though to sell it more :)

I get a perfect 90 FPS in VR mode, 120+ Constant FPS outside of VR

Will be releasing a full release trailer some time before release, until then will probably release 1-2 more environment sneak peaks. Gameplay is about 80% finished in terms of programming I just don't plan to release any videos of gameplay specifically until I'm ready :)
