After rewatching this the next day I can definitely say this scene turned out a bit busy but overall I think it still came out pretty good. Hoping to get more nature scenes out in the near future, will focus on getting some in that are a bit less busy overall and more interesting in terms of composition :)

It's awesome seeing that much detail and thought put into one scene! Great job once again!

Impressive! Perhaps you should use WorldMachine for the landscape when you have no ideas. It helps a lot. I'm a huge fan, thank you for this!

Could you do a livestream or a video where you create a scene in real time with explanations and stuff? I'd really like to hear that, because that's the best way to learn^^

How heavy are these scenes that you make? Like are they easy for the average computer to handle in real time, or do you need something with a little more oomph to play it?

do you just creare this quick UE4 scenes for fun? or are they ever used in other games/projects? Also if you ever need any music for these videos, I make tons of stuff, a lot of which is UT inspired =)
@evilmrfrank7 жыл бұрын
I just create these because they are a lot of fun and they are an amazing way to practice :) I am not actively looking for more music for my videos but if you have some music of yours I'll definitely check it out :)

Looks like the light beam blueprint found in this example scene docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Resources/Showcases/BlueprintExamples/FogSheet/index.html

You make it look like damn easy. I wonder when you will make a tutorial or show a complete scene in normal speed time? I wanna learn all
@thedevo017 жыл бұрын
Great video, really. The only criticism I could make would be that trees angles aren't thrown off by angled land; Just look at trees that grow on the side of hills or mountains. They grow vertically.
@evilmrfrank7 жыл бұрын
I definitely agree, thats actually something I stopped doing in my levels several years back XD I see what you mean in this scene though it does definitely look like I was positioning a couple of those trees like that especially the one directly in front on the left, I was more just trying to give them slight offsets to make them look a little more natural but definitely over did it on a few of those :P

Looks amazing! Curious though, I heard it was a free download for the Unreal Engine 4..does it come with all rocks, grass, trees etc. or are those all things you have to download elsewhere?? Thought it'd be fun to make one myself (won't come close to your quality I'm sure) but just wanted something new to try. Also, show this stuff to Ubisoft to get there quality up yours in just dead on!
@evilmrfrank7 жыл бұрын
UE4 is free and they also provide a lot of free assets but most of the assets in this video were paid for on the marketplace.

So if i would use this map in a game, i would render 98% of all parts, that i dont even see, because they are under the ground or stuck inside other things? 0,5 FPS?
