I think that the whole “getting lost” idea is the tape’s way of warning the potential player in this weird ritualistic game that if they try to look for the door, they’ll slowly wander through a kind of inter dimensional veil. A veil that takes the person to a place that LOOKS like their house, but with slight dissimilarities. And eventually, the same thing that happens to people who open the door or don’t run from the creature are found by whatever demon inhabits that realm, and it kills them. Either that, or they’re just doomed to wander their infinite purgatory house forever.

I believe the introduction we're getting is the same one the people who get doors added do. It gives a sense of relation and is a way of drawing you into the story, I believe the entity adding doors gives them the same notice as we get telling them(probably through the television or computer or phone) notifying them of the addition and telling them not to look, just like it tells us not to look.

I dont know if anyone has said this already but when I was watching this, it almost reminded me of Doctor Who with the random possessions and that door that the person cant seem to find. This might just be me, but I noticed the extreme similarities between Doctor Who and this series. Whatever that Shadow Figure was, is almost like Prisoner Zero. Audrey is the victim being so called “Possesed” or “Controlled” by Prisoner Zero. This could just be me, but it reminded me of it so much.

Witch here! The star is called a pentagram, or pentacle if it has a circle around it. It's used to ward off evil or cleanse energy and is usually more of an anti "devil." I'd read and perform pacts and rituals from the sketchy book bound in an unknown leather, and start the horror movie though 😅
