-When DEN lost Bruce Brown and then KCP (who's currently shooting 32FG and 7ppg in 11 games in 2024), I was mildly apprehensive for Jokic. Braun's jump? Super nice -- on easily 50-50-80 shooting splits and 16ppg thus far (10 games). It's still way TOO EARLY to draw conclusions but good for Braun. Rookie deal ($3M) until 2026. GL

@@trebor9686he's become so confident in his 3 pt shot and he's shooting near 50% like who could've seen this coming. He's been absurdly good. You've made the right assessment, Jokic makes life so easy for everyone around him and limit a lot of their responsibilities, but he deserves credit for performing the best out of Jokic's supporting cast. The biggest negative impact from losing KCP has been not having a guy like Braun come off the bench anymore.

If Joker had another allstar caliber player he would have three rings by now and be in the GOAT conversation. He is that good. At this rate even if he only finishes with 1 ring (he wont) he should be considered top 10 of all time. The mainstream NBA media is not giving him the credit/air time he deserves and the reason why is obvious but it does not change the fact he is the best player in the world and it isnt even close.

I wrote a letter (im old) to the NBA recently letting them know they are dropping the ball by marginalizing Jokic and not showcasing him. It's a huge missed opportunity...So What if he's in Denver....so what if he's Low Key Dominant....He's a BEAST and he's HUMBLE....That alone is a marketing asset to future generations....The NBA should be quietly working to get him US Citizenship and to make him feel welcome in the US. They probably 86'ed my letter into the trash can if they even read it.

When you google Nba, several tabs appear: Games, News, Standings, Stats and finally Players. When you click Players order of appearance is as follows: LBJ, Curry, LBJ's son, Wemby, Klay Thompson, Jokić(currently sitting on 6th, usually bellow 10th place), Giannis, Edwards, Dončić etc... What it tells me is that basketball isn't only about basketball and people's interest is not about court performance only. It's more intersection point of several factors including entertainment, personal & social frustrations exaling point, rolemodeling, showbiz... Somewhere between should be sport also. Nba is dictated by those factors, no surprise top players who meet sport criteria but miss other are not in focus.

@@mja4wp I think NBA noticed losing viewership at the end of '80, that's why they went global trying to compensate loss at US by gaining at other parts of the world. That things don't happen overnight, but clear results are today. From Sabonis Sr., Divac, Kukoč, via Nowitzki to Jokić and Dončić today. International players balance viewership, but main focus are still US viewers.

Honestly, I've been very impressed. Yes, small sample size, but I always knew if he wanted to take over for KCP he'd have to get more consistent with his 3ball. And he clearly has worked his backside off to become so, especially from R to now. He's fun to watch and gives the same "it's about the game and team, not me" vibe that Jokic does. And he does have elite athleticism and can guard 2/3 pretty much any night. And yes, Irving was going to drop 30-45 that night no matter who was on him. He was making contested jumpers right and left. Of course the elephant in the room is his elevation reduced the bench that much more. Strawther can give the offense, but he's overmatched defensively. If they can get two guys to be the equivalent of Braun, one strong D and one O, then maybe the Nugs contend again. Peyton getting minutes while Gordon heals should help him grow. But one of those bench guys has to show. If only their #1 pick hadn't blown his Achilles. Lots of bad press for GM, but with three max contracts they couldn't keep Brown or KCP, and they drafted Braun, Watson & Strawther plus this year's #1. They couldn't go to the second tier on salary cap, so what could they do. Westbrook is a roll of the dice, so let's see what happens. My guess is Porter could be traded if Payton or Tyson can prove they can take his role, and flesh out the bench and free cash.

His fast break finishing reminds me of Devin Booker. You know he's going to score and there isn't much you can do about it.

People forget that this guy has won at every level: high school, college, and NBA. He knows what it takes to win important games. He doesn’t shy away. And he is also very athletic and smart, which is the perfect combo to play alongside Jokic.

5:52 to be fair Kyrie was doing magic that game. Braun and Watson were playing great defense, but Kyrie just didn’t fucking miss for some reason…

Everyone who plays next to Joker becomes the best version of themselves. Great sentence, glad I heard someone say it. Jason Kidd used to be surrounded by all stars that weren’t all stars on other teams with other point guards. Same here. And ya, some of us said last year that Braun would be a 20ppg player one day. For sure. Dudes a beast. Ok back to work, stop distracting me ❤

Thank god for Christian. I’ve been hammering it since the 1st game of the season. Only Jokic has been more consistent than him. Hard-working, humble guy. If Murray is more consistent, our starting 5 is DEADLY with AG, MPJ & that version of Braun

Everyone was overexaggerating the loss of KCP, he averaged only 10pts. He played really good defense, but he also constantly got bodied all last year by physical guards and was terrible in the playoffs, averaging 8pts while not being able to stop anybody. This year in Orlando, now that he doesn't have Jokic or the other great teammates, he's averaging under 7pts on 22% from 3. Braun is averaging around 18pt on 58/50/82 and is only costing a bit over 3 million.
