"Gorillla" Monsoon was a white guy (he was called "Gorilla" because of his size & hairy arms and chest). He was a former wrestler (in the 1950's-1970's) and one of the earliest stockholders of the World Wide Wrestling Federation / World Wrestling Federation / WWE. He died in 1999. The backstage location behind the curtain that leads to the entrance stage is called "Gorilla Position" in memory of him.
