@@solson223I had the same thought, but the more I thought about it, the more I think they were thinking right on this one. It’s the night before the Waste Management kicks off, only about 20 miles up the road. There are hundreds of thousands visitors here in AZ all here for golf and a good time this week. The smaller course is good for testing this live stream tournament concept out and keeping things a bit more controlled. That coupled with the fact that night golf looks great on TV/YT makes it a good move in my book. I’d also rather be watching a full length course for the record but I think this was a good move for a first run.

Okay people, it is NOT $160 if you don't book this week. It's $85-99 depending on the day. Is it overpriced? Absolutely. It's a shiny new thing. Once other courses start night golf the prices will go down.

I think having a tournament at a par 3 course is not a good idea. The course doesn’t even look nice. I was expecting a real golf course to really test the players. It’s like miniature golf. My anticipation has gone to zero.

It's a live event and all of these guys will be getting exposure on prime time network TV. How many courses do you guys know of that have lighting 18 holes par 72. Nobody but GoodGood could even think about paying the cost of holding an event like this and i'm sure all the players know and appreciate it. Well once the GG desert open is done i suspect it will only be used by investors or friends. None of the public will use it for 85$. And why didnt thry let them play for free if they are in the tournament? And surely by now all they would have camera towers erected...i didnt see sny of that

You’d be shocked. I live here in Phoenix and love to play but refuse to pay the outrageous greens fees here in the winter, but that doesn’t stop people paying $200-$250 per round at any decent course and $350-$500 for the elite ones at prime times. Courses are all packed on (at least when I go on weekends). My guess is $80 per round they’ll do just fine with the public. People will pay it, which blows my mind I try to play munis and find deals where I can. I’ve played this course before the lights and it’s pretty bad, but they’ve gotten it in better shape. I’ll play it again under the lights sometime with friends in the summer to check it out and get a taste of night golf.

The choice of playing this huge event there makes you scratch your head. What? Really? I wouldn’t go there for $20. Much less pay $160. Much less film the biggest KZbin golf event to date there. I’ve seen the course on Ben Haddens channel. Not even remotely impressed. Everyone in the upcoming field has to be questioning this call. No?
