Man, luthiers know what things you need to get there. First you got a tiny camera lense and a led light, you can see what your miracle tool is doing. A hundred years ago that camera wasn't there, yet. Think about it, luthiers or repair shop staff sometimes have those impossible problems, and they know what to do. For real. But easy, ehm, nope.
@PANDORAZTOYBOKZ16 күн бұрын
@@voornaam3191 I'm just amazed that people think this is some space aged wizardry when this is quite literally how all gibsons arw wired, and have been since before the Les Paul. Is the big difference that it's larger and more hollow? Because that's not particularly harder than working with an ES. Of course, gibson would love for everyone to believe this is a special effort for this specific model. I struggle to imagine any guitar where the hardware isn't wired after finishing and assembling the neck and body. That's pretty much the opposite of what you would do if you wanted a high quality, clean finish.

After watching footage of the gibson factory, in which their les pauls are wired at the final setup, I really don't know what you're specifically saying is different about these. Maybe I'm missing context from a different part cut out of the clip, but this sounds exactly how every guitar by gibson is made. I've never heard of them gluing together a body after hardware installation. It's not even a thing done with hollowbodies, which are significantly more difficult to wire than any hollow OR solid body, whether or not it has swiss cheese chambers. If they finished their instruments with hardware installed, there would just be paint in ever crevice that they couldn't properly cover, and it would take significantly longer than assembling with finish applied. They make tools specifically for this reason, and if you don't have one, a wire hangar does just as well.
@TheNeuroticGuitarist16 күн бұрын
There's no back plate dude. That's what's different. They don't stick everything through the output jack on a normal les paul

I think he is wrong. It has A separate back and the seem is Covered with the white trim. He even says it is mahogany with maple caps like a sandwich. You put in the electrical components then glue on the back after. Not the way he is describing. Nothing was shoved in the way he says
