I was born in 1995 and been a Patriots fan since I started following sports in 2003, but my goodness I am very happy for this Lions team. Kudos to how well built this team has been from the ground up. Finally they have some consistency, this isn’t just going to be some one-off like years before after the 2011, 2014, and 2016 seasons were. First time ever winning the NFC North and first division title in 30 years, now time for them to get that first playoff win in 32 years.

Without a doubt, this is the type of game in the past that the Lions most certainly would have lost. When John Comminsky failed to just fall on the ball after Mullens fumble (tried to pick it up and failed to), that blunder almost cost the Lions the game. Iffy saved Comminsky and the Lions. I said the same thing on twitter but I had to watch again and man, you got me right in the feels again. I was at the dome 30 years ago to see Favre to Sharpe. I listened to you since you started, through all the nonsense. I remember praying they would win one so we finally turned the corner I knew we would and did it before you walked out after that 1-5 start. A football game shouldn't mean this much I guess, but it does and ride this ride together. This is is the start; I think we're building this right with great people who understand how much this means and how hard we they have to work to get where we want to be. I've seen the 1 playoff win vs the Cowboys but what I want more than anything like everyone else is at least a SB appearance. Correction on Iffy: He was balling even before his injury, after CJGJ initially went down. Then Tracy started games to replace Iffy. This whole year, Iffy has been balling. His transition to safety has gone perfectly. AG is deploying Iffy perfectly. His ascension is one of my favorite developments. And Jamo is ascending as well on the offensive end. He helped build this roster with assets gained by trading him. Had he stayed, the roster would look a lot different without those assets and without his ability to make a bad team mediocre. Merry Christmas Diesel! I have a long shot question for you. My favorite teams are Lions and Browns. Haslem has made me mad with the horrible acquisition of Watson. I have barely seen the Browns this year. But I love what Flacco has done. I wanted him when they got rid of Baker. That said, my heart has been with the Lions for this year. If the Lions and Browns made the Super Bowl, who would you root for? How would you feel if the Browns made it that far? Me? As of this writing, I would root for the Lions. But I would be torn.

It has sucked cause I've tried jumping teams a few times yes I'm from Farmington right outside of Detroit but lived most of my life near Tampa and now Nashville I've tried but never could do it. But i did give up watching football for the most part once i realized i was stuck with the lions as my love. Same thing every year start out hopeful usually by week 4 I'm out 😆 this year I've watched every game and while I'm still not sold we are a playoff winning team I'm happy we are respectable and headed in right direction. I still feel we need a chip though after all these years of suffering. I feel spoiled with the wings i really started giving up on the lions in 94 to 95 and started watching hockey with my mom that year she had always begged me to get into hockey RIP momma. We were so good that year swept by Devils but after that we won 3 cups in a short time and a fourth not long after. With the lions i just want 1 🦁
