Only 30 years, you're fortunate, only 30 years. Try 55ish years. Sure, in my time, we had some good players. Lem Barney, Charlie Sanders and the likes. Still, bad teams though. Then came just plain mediocre teams with Billy Sims and a few others. Hell we even had a coke head head coach in Wayne Fontes. WR Bret Perriman, decent. Barry Sanders, great running back, best I've seen, but the Lions didn't care about building a team around him, so he quit. Then, pretty much nothing until Matt Stafford and Calvin Johnson, still mediocre teams. Johnson quit and Stafford wanted to be traded. They just got tired of losing. Old man Ford died, and his wife quit (both in way over their heads owing a football team). I mean, holly crap 0-16. Then Sheila took over things, FINALLY started turning the team around. She is smart enough to know who to hire. Holmes and Campbell, new culture, winning culture, not Fords la-de-da, oh well, I'm making my millions per game. Now finally, employees who actually know what they're doing and want to WIN. I thought for sure I'd die before I saw a very good team, dare I say, at this juncture, the best team in the NFL. Crap I might even see them in the Super Bowl, God willing. SO YEA, IT'S ABOUT F'N TIME!! Thanks for letting me vent😊 GOOOO LIONS 🦁

Born & raised in Detroit. I go way back with the Lions. I'm talking about old Lions teams that played at Tiger Stadium watching Lem Barney, Mel Farr, Alex Karras, etc. They really hurt me during Barry Sanders time there. So I admit I stopped watching them after he retired. They just made me depressed during football season year after year. It seemed like they would find ways to lose. So I stopped being a fan. It's unbelievable how I hear the football experts say that the Lions are the best team in the NFL now. I never thought I would ever hear that about the Lions. So I'm happy for them now, not as a fan who has jumped on the bandwagon since they've turned it around but as a Detroiter who follows sports and likes to see it's sports teams do well.

@Kurt-n4i well we usually have great sports in Detroit it's just been a minute since the football players brought a championship home. And all Detroit teams did fairly well this year I might add(minus the pistons but one team always gets left out) it's usually the lions lol) just happy to see some good. If the team stays together like they are and the coaches don't change the roster too much then I think we could have a dynasty with these guys. All young yet experienced with a lot of potential! Don't give up hope just yet bro, I feel your pain as a life long lions fans but we have the desire to eat everyone this season! I'll save a spot for ya on the bandwagon and we'll act like this never happened 🍻 🤣

The NFL set it up last year where the first game of the year was gonna be the super bowl. KC held up their end but the coach of yhe Lions fucked it off. They would have won the Superbowl last year.
