Branch is the Lions best defender. Yea. Better and more consistent than Hutchinson. I was worried they were going to spend another pick on some other lineman while someone right in their area got a guy who probably should have been selected a round higher. Only concern is sometimes guys like this play really hard and are constantly knicked up. I really hope he can make it through 2024 without injury. He can be in the all pro talk if he does.

The ceiling for Branch is all the way up to the highest Branch on the tree. He might already be the best DB the Lions have had since Dick Lebeau, Lem Barney or Night train Lane. Another potential HOFer if he stays healthy. How would you rank past Lions DB's? The guys that stand out in my mind are Blades, Delmas, Quinn, Bly and Slay in the last 30 years or so. Honorable mention to T. Fair who took a few kickoffs to the house for us back in the day.
