Animating and voice acting a different interaction with Dutch could've been done in a weekend afternoon bruh. Scripted events/sequences in Rockstar's games are absolutely laughable and still stuck in freaking PS1 era, period. RDR2 despite being way more advanced technically speaking than whatever came before it, it is also way more restrictive gameplay-wise, like even freaking GTA 4 wouldn't hold your hand as much as this game does.

I’ve never been able to finish this game because I always do this. To me, Rockstar is cheating because the mission is to take out Micah and I did what I was supposed to. Screw their cutscene and Dutch. As soon as I saw the cabin, I knew someone was in it so I threw dynamite at it. My character is low honor, so it fits with how he would handle the situation. If Rockstar can’t handle that, they need to shut their doors and sell the franchise to someone who would let us handle the situation like that. I didn’t like Micah from the beginning and kept failing the mission where you are supposed to rescue him from jail. It’s way more fun just to throw dynamite in the cell window. Since Rockstar released the games in the wrong order, I already knew that the whole gang had to be taken out, and I tried many times. If they didn’t want me to know that, they should have put the games out in the right order. I don’t think I will buy another Rockstar game because of this.
