Finally get to start one of these series within minutes of it actually dropping

This channel is so underrated!!!! The time and attention that you put into these videos is staggering. I loved these games as a kid and always wondered how they came to be. Love your work man keep it up!!

I remember that cover of Nintendo Power…man it got me so excited! By that point, all momentum was towards GBA and Gamecube, but many gems for GBC and N64 in 2000- early 2001. Just like SNES in 95-early 96!!

Another good introduction. I'm always inspired by your dedication to the research of these videos, especially in games like this which don't get nearly as much coverage (compared to the 3D titles). It's fascinating to see how Flagship operated differently to Nintendo but still picked up many of their philosophies along the way (I never thought about the fact that Nintendo names all of their characters/enemies, but it definitely makes sense given the context), even if it does raise some questions (I don't think we will ever find out what happened to that Zelda 1 port). It will be interesting to watch you play through these games, since I haven't played them since my teens, and I'll be fun to look back on them with fresh eyes. Keep up the good work ^_^

Since I finally caught up with this podcast, I've spent the last month anxiously awaiting "next Wednesday" for new episodes. It's super nice to have something to boost the middle of my weeks. As has been the case for every game thus far, your research on the development process is what fascinates me most. Having never played Ages/Seasons in any capacity, I'm excited to tag along.

Game was so excellent, I got it 2001 when I was in 3rd grade. Played it on my Game Boy Advance. The only one I had was ages, I did play Seasons many years later on an emulator though. 2001 was the year of Zelda for me, it was that fall I got into Ocarina of Time after having it for a year and not knowing how to get through the Deku Tree

I didn’t get a chance to watch this series as it was coming out but I wanted to say that since these were my first Zelda games I appreciate that someone is taking the time to go through both games, giving them the recognition they deserve but oft don’t get because they’re not 3D or Link’s Awakening.

This is so well edited, I can follow everything. It takes its time, slow transitions, no hurry, well put together. A real threat! Love your work!❤

I haven’t seen one of these videos in some time but so impressed with the upgrade in audio quality my only criticism personally would be that the background music sounded equally as loud if not louder than you at some points and it made it hard to hear you properly sometimes but keep up the good work I love videos on my childhood game’s development!!

So excited for this series. I loved Oracle of Seasons, but not so much with Oracle of Ages. I played through them again during the beginning of the Pandemic and they both lived up to my expectations!

I’m glad I could get here early this time around and start a play through at the same time.

That was great, thanks for all that work ☺️☺️ my favorite Zelda games or almost, God knows it's hard to choose

The 2 really could use a Switch port similar to the Link's awakening remake WITH save states the Goran Dance game required Ages only is nearly IMPOSSIBLE without being able to save IN between rounds.

Dude your videos are so good, love this little deep dive into the development, you should be getting bulk views man keep it up, I really look forward to this season!

Weird, though I played both, I have actually never considered these games as part of the "main series" of Zelda games.

Wow! What an awesome episode! Never played either, but I'm looking forward to this season!

I used to consider it a shame that we never got the hypothetical third Oracle game, but seeing all these interviews combined makes it VERY clear that three was a pie in the sky estimate by a dude WAY too big for his britches thinking he could squeeze out an actual Zelda game in six months, even if it was a Game Boy Color title. Knowing it was most likely never gonna be fun, even if it WOULD have had a neat story, soothes the ache. Still, real interesting tonsee the many twists and turns this took, especially how their teething on making two completely new games meant the other remake plans got so postphoned they got moved to the GBA. And we did get Minish Cap from them at the end, so I say that this collaborative venture ended as well as it ever could have done.

I love this zelda games it's really sad they're so underrated and only seem to be talked about in terms of the 'worst' zelda dungeons, bad zelda music or just a few iconic things like the linked game secrets or true final boss and ending. So many zelda fans really don't seem to like or care for these games and i personally can't understand why.

I'm still sad that we don't have a 3rd Oracle

Is it just me or does Capcom have issues following through on game production? Can you imagine threatening Nintendo to make a competitor to Zelda if they didn't let you make three Zelda games so they allow it and then you're all, "Uh, I can't do it."
