there is no way i randomly found this video again through a super old shout-out post from valve themselves on portal's news feed (post date 2009), only to find this comment posted 2 DAYS ago. listen man. i saw this video when i was 10 years old (i am now 24). i didn't even know what portal was. i don't know how i stumbled upon it. but i was mesmerized, and also a little terrified. i loved it. i downloaded it and burned it to a CD! i'm sorry btw for pirating your song. but how is that possible, that you created an HD remaster 14 years later and posted it riiiight before i found this old childhood core memory here? anyway, thanks for the bop, gonna go watch the remaster.

Or maybe Valve is waiting for the next big thing to revolutionise their new title. For HL1 it was proper 3D movement and CDs that allowed them to store way more data to make a compelling story. In HL2 they had a physics engine which allowed for physics based puzzles, you see a lot of these in Ravenholm. For HL3, maybe it'll be a VR experience?

Portal in VR would be an interesting experience for sure. Just imagine the motion sicness you'd get from launching yourself around the room with portals. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Valve actually thought about making something with the Portal franchise for their new VR game but for that exact reason they went for Half-Life instead.
