Caught these guys live last year at SXSW 2009 here in Austin. They played for free at a little dive bar. Great live band, only time I've ever seen a dude crowd surf to an acoustic string band! See them live they are worth it.

They've been to the crossroads or they practice a lot. Either way thank you, currently addicted. The writing is taking these guy's way beyond bluegrass. Genius transcends barriers real and artificial and while Bluegrass may be their roots I'd consider them a bluegrasss band like I would Dylan a folk singer or Steve Earle Country. It's to good to be contained just stand back enjoy and watch it conquer the world. But I'm High and I love talking shit when I'm high.

@MrAntimaniac check out a couple bands "Iron Horse" or "Old Crow Medicine Show". They're pretty good bluegrass bands. Iron Horse does a lot of Metallica covers lol. "Fade to Black" was a good cover by Iron Horse. Old Crow has so many good tunes. "Wagon Wheel" is a good one by them

I think they're joking... but I also think they're somewhere between atheism & apathy. Just cuz some of their songs have good messages (like "All Hail": "save the children, drop the bomb, replace the word right with the word wrong") doesn't make them spiritual. Which songs are you referring to? I only know 5 or 6. I think they are good people who are actually somewhat tired of religious folks, or at least tired of what religion has become. Listen to their version of "They Call That Religion"
