Nice! I bet that was awesome. My first time seeing them was Warped Tour 2008. They opened up with Still Fly and I ended up caught between 2 mosh pits with my sister's bf trying to make sure I didn't die xD

@@KJChaos great fucking times ! Pre 2010 metalcore was a vibe

@@shaodynasty1017 I agree completely. That time in music got me through some tough times, still does. As an adult, I wish I could go back in time and catch all the concerts. 😍

@@KJChaos me fucking too! Chiodos, underoath, Norma jean, as I lay dying, parkway drive, bring me the horizon, a day to remember, enter shikari, the acacia strain, whitechapel, asking alexandria I'm honestly stoked their has been a huge resurgence in heavy music lately. And a lot of those old metalcore bands are still killing it. Different some, but just glad they can still make a living off metal in 2022

@@KJChaos I've been to probably close to 100 concerts in my 27 years. Been so so grateful for how many acts I got to catch in tiny rooms in the early days

Such a sick video, I swear them on this tour in baltimore holy shit man they gained a fan, I always like a few of their bigger songs but they gained a really big fan especially just bc of mike hranica's stage presence so sick, so much fun to see live I will be seeing them again
@mementomori28392 жыл бұрын
They've always had the best stage presence. It's one of the things that hooked me early on. Watch some of their '10-' 12 performances. Unmatched. They're recently picking up the pace again as well, since The Thread. All their recent tours have been fucking mind blowing in energy and performance.

I still remember seeing TDWP touring with ADTR in July 2009 right after Roots Above and Homesick came out and it was the hypest show ever

I guess I never realized Daniel hasn't been the drummer for a while now. I saw them live with Silverstein and Blessthefall many years ago, amazing concert.

Don't feel bad. I didn't realize Jeremy and Mike are the only original members until I saw them live a few years ago, and then forgot about it until this concert when I noticed I only recognized those two. I bet it was great! I haven't seen Blessthefall live in 7-8 years.

2:46 the original studio recording, everytime I hear how insane and awesome his screams are through that final breakdown I just know it’s unachievable live, it’s so thrashy. He had me for a few seconds there and then I knew he’d tap out. Not an insult to him, it’s insane what he’s able to do and takes skill but that’s just not a sustainable screaming section. Still love it though
This shirt is better this way. Ripped and as a cape hahaha. 😍😍😍

Hearing the song in such a lower key just doesn't hit the same. They should really keep spare guitars tuned to their original tuning for when they play the og songs. And to the uploader, you should have seen them in the mid-2000s. The energy here is pretty mellow compared to how they used to be. They used to go absolutely bonkers the whole time. But that just comes with getting older.
@paul_romero_2 жыл бұрын
Playing the songs in a lower tuning is not only easier for traveling (less guitars to bring around) but it's necessary for Jeremy, in order to sustain his vocals, for entire tours. Singing that high for long periods of time can be detrimental to any touring musicians vocals. Not to mention his range was never really capable of hitting those notes very well anyway, back when they played in drop d.
@kernelxsanders2 жыл бұрын
@@paul_romero_ that would make sense when playing a half step down which is very common for vocalists to hit their notes better, but not when going down as far as they did here. Also, you can play multiple tunings on one guitar by using a pitch pedal. Lots of people use that for the reason of traveling lighter.
@paul_romero_2 жыл бұрын
@@kernelxsanders I feel like them playing in a tuning that’s comfortable for them to perform in, makes perfect sense. Especially if it’s a tuning that most of their set is played in. And Jeremy has said in a twitch stream that they won’t use pitch shifters on live sets due to unreliability. I’m not sure what that entails exactly but again it comes down to their personal choices as touring musicians.
@kernelxsanders2 жыл бұрын
@@paul_romero_ pitch shifters are no less reliable than any other pedal unless it's an older one. Also, I never said it didn't make sense for them to drop the key, I just think that drastic of a change changes the vibe. And it's sad to know they haven't kept up with their abilities over the years to still be able to play it the same. It happens to many musicians at some point, but this seems like a young age to succumb to it for them.
@paul_romero_2 жыл бұрын
@@kernelxsanders you literally said “that would make sense when playing half a step down which is very common for vocalists to hit their notes better, but not when going down as far as they did here.” Again, they play it where they’re comfortable performing at. And I will reiterate, it’s their choice to not use pitch shifters and to instead just use less guitars and less tunings. Plagues is 15 years old, this month. Prada started touring in 2005. 17 years is a long time to be straining your voice. Jeremy chose not to do that for his own well being but also for a more consistent quality live show.
