I speak on behalf of the few left who have been listening to this band since 2006. (TRUE 2006). After dead throne this band fell hard from my rotation and they became too melancholic for me. I admired Mike’s writing but musically since Chris left I felt a missing piece. ZII was my curious moment and the last 2 singles now have my attention. This is it guys. I think you gentlemen have found the symbiotic mix of your roots and now you can show your expanded growth in the branches (pun intended). This is the way. I’m back on board 100%

One of the things I liked most about TDWP is when they're really melancholy, deep, and emotionally moving. Daughter and The Thread are 2 of my favorite songs by them just because they're so fucking dramatic and just reach inside me to a place that I try to keep locked away and open it up whether I like it or not and its always so deeply cathartic. And not just those two songs but SOOOOOO many of their tracks have moments that make my hair stand up including some of their older tracks. The oldest track from them that does that for me is "Who Speaks Spanish" weirdly enough. I've been following them since high school in 06 and still can't get enough. Watchtower is incredible. I don't think they ever once lost their soul as a band. I miss their older band mates also and they definitely all contributed something very special to this band but that period after Chris left did not stop them from creating very special, relatable, and lovable music.

Pretty sure it's about his ex Jade I think was her name they had a rough break up or so I've heard. And he was on tour 9months a year then..so I'm just taking a guess. Around 2010ish-12ish somewhere in there

Wow love this. It has a nice live/sloppy feel towards the end, along side the best mix I've heard in awhile, throw in that cool synth. Just an all around metal jammer. Perfect!
