Never eat food, nor take drink from a fae. There are very few exceptions to this that if you don't know already, then you don't need to know. Ancient laws apply that those whose noses have gone soft to the smells of the forest, whose eyes have gone dull to the glow of nature, and whose ears can't ken the speech of the woods should do their best to not get involved. Those who feel nothing but air around them will find themselves lost too quickly.
@Jeremiah905264 жыл бұрын
@BereanJenn Basically the laws that would allow you to eat or drink from the fae are covenantry in nature that you should avoid in general. Understand, making a pact with fae should only be done as a last resort, and treated like the heavy treaties they are.
@michaelandrews83484 жыл бұрын
@Tayler Muilenburg No i am not. The food sounds so good in the story.
@Jeremiah905264 жыл бұрын
@BereanJenn Milk and warm bread or bits and bobbles made of copper are good for trade of small things like "hey, could you give me my shoes, keys, etc. back?" The bigger the ask, the heftier the cost. Understand, personal cost, not monetary cost. Let me give you an example. If you wished for protection against some small thing, a rich man would think "Oh, I will just get 30 pounds of copper, easy peasy" but what they would look for would be more akin to say, the lone picture they have of themselves with their beloved grandmother who passed away. Something singular, of immense personal value, that cannot be replaced. Now, protection for say, a family, or a home? That would cost quite a bit more. One of the weirder ones that can work for that is "bullet that should have killed you". By this, I mean bullet that was shot into you that barely missed vital organs (these are good luck charms that are said to ward away any other bullet fired at you for the rest of your life if worn) or a round that jammed in your would be killer's gun when he/ she had it aimed at you. There are more common prices that have been paid in the past that we shall not go into, because if you are willing to pay them , then I am not willing to aid you. If you want some tricks for starting a parley, go ahead and ask, and I will tell, but that might end up me trying to DM you or something as the ways to start a conversation with the fae, while simple, should not be terribly well known. There is a simple reason for this, STARTING a conversation is easy, ENDING it is hard. Understand, when I say ending the conversation is hard, I don't mean just for you, I mean for your bloodline. Be careful with this crap. One final tip before I say adieu for the night, if ever you meet someone and you close your eyes to sneeze or something and there appears to be a light projected onto your eyelids where they are standing, they are either fae, or at least fae touched. Be wary and mind your words with them. Now, I must bid you good night.

That's why the fey waiter told him not to go out the back door into the back courtyard but not the front door. This is one of my favorite stories I have heard narrated on this channel. I am glad I saved it for listening later; too many interruptions surrounding me when I first saw the upload. So much rich detail, a feast for the imagination to picture since there is so much atmosphere conveyed in the lighting, sounds, props, and people. It makes me wish this place was real so I could sample a dream of living without fear of second-guessing every action I, and everyone around me, took. Such is the fate of those living with chronic (social) anxiety, imposter syndrome, and a couple other things. In order to calm the insomnia that results from my anxiety, I listen to stories like this at night, whether or not I do some art therapy coloring alongside, even more so during COVID 19's quarantine.

Food for an immortal fae you mean.

@@Jeremiah90526 Not all faes are bad. There are good ones too like the keeper of the Dew Drop Cafe who was protecting his human visitor. I don't even think the party faeries were inherently bad. The guy broke the rule despite being warned by the keeper of the cafe a couple of times to respect the privacy of the party fae outside. That's the reason he was almost in trouble. Isn't that the same thing when you break human laws especially when you visit a foreign country and violate the law? Just like humans, I think most faes are good and harmless but there are certainly few malevolent ones.
@RinSicairos4 жыл бұрын
@@ronnelechavez To me it seems the Keeper of the Cafe was the same as the dancing fae. The reason why he did not want Collin to open the curtains was because he wanted to keep him to himself. In the end he still asked him for a name for payment as well as a wish. Thats Fae 101 for payment. The fae will then use that against you and hold power over you.

Back in the 90s I was going through a divorce, not wanting to face my wife in court. I opted to do the telephonic end . So I drove 500 miles to my best friend's house, on the way there I stopped at a gas station and restaurant I'd never seen before. Met a beautiful lady we hit it off almost immediately. We decided to meet after my divorce was registered, as not to be the same person my wife was why we ended our marriage. I excitedly drove back to see Katherine, hoping for a new start. When I arrived where the gas station was it was forested area with not even a road. I sat almost heart broken staring. I filled my gas tank and coffee thermos and still had the candy and paper she wrote her number and work number. I don't know what to think but I know I met her got gas an coffee. But there was nothing there. This happened in alaska between fairbanks and Anchorage. I'll never forget it.
